WHAT IS THE PROBLEM "cannon ipf 710 erro E161-403E"?

Canon... • Answered on Jan 23, 2020

Power off and unplug the printer for several minutes. On power on the printer had the same "ERROR E196-4040 Call For Service" after Initialization. Next start the printer in Service Mode, turn on the printer while holding down the [Paper Source/Feeder Selection] button and [Information] button until Initializing appeared in the display. An "S" will appear in the upper right of the version display. Power down and do a normal Power On and the printer should do a normal initialization and came On Line.

This error refers to the feed roller sensor not detecting rotation of the feed roller. You will find it at the left end of the roller. It may have come dislodged or just gone faulty. Thats the area to look at.

Hi Lucy, Try this: Your print job is killing the printer's memory. a couple things to try: 1. disable spooling and print directly to the printer. this almost never works, but from the control panel, open printers (and faxes) and right click on your printer and select "properties". the radio button to check is under the advanced tab. 2. print to an image first, print to another software printer, like the microsoft document imaging printer. then reprint from the .mdi file that is generated by it. 3. export your file to a non-publisher document. file save as file type to something other than a .pub file. a .doc might work, then again it might muck up your layout. a .jpg/bmp would work very nicely for printing. 4. increase the memory to your printer. this option may not be possible for you.

It mean "Vh voltage error" and can be cause of short circuit in the printhead . Sometimes you can get good result with printhead changing, but it is not guarantied because of possible printer electric parts (carriage board, flat cable, motherboard or power supply) damage. For printhead changing, delete paper and use Service mode (hold Paper sourse + Information while switching printer on).

Try holding the Navigate + Load buttons down while turning it on... keep holding them down, as it could take quite a few seconds before the LCD says Initializing S should appear at the top right of the display. Press the < or > keys to choose the Set./Adj. Menu and press the OK key. SERVICE MODE should appear in the menu list and the MESSAGE LED should flash. Press the ^ or V key to choose SERVICE MODE and press OK
