First things to try is a normal reset and then a hard reset.
To do a normal reset, press on the reset button on your handheld.
Hard reset is performed differently on different models, check palm website for hard reset instructions:

many times,
digitizer (which is the touch part on top of the lcd
display) is most likely broken and would need to be replaced. On rare
cases reattaching
digitizer cable and making sure that the
digitizer is clean and intact and properly on its position may solve the issue.

f you are inside warranty the repair may be completely free, contact your dealer or palm.
Outside of warranty, you have 3 options.
- Replace digitizer yourself, you can find a replacement from ebay.
- Send it to palm for out of warranty repairs, probably around 100usd.
- Take it to a local professional who can replace digitizer for you.
