You could also start with a low torque setting any slowly increase the setting as you tightened the bolts in sequence over and over until you feel like you've got them fairly tight. Piston stays down when piston oring is too tight or too loose, discharge air passage is restricted, or check band not in place on outer part of the cylinder. Piston should be easy to push down in cylinder but not just fall all the way down. The check band is usually a band of rubber or an oring that covers a series of small holes drilled into the lower outer portion of the cylinder. Make band out of bike inner tube, or if oring, any oring that fits snugly will work. Good luck

I usually just find a work-around when it comes to obsolete gauges. Just leave that gauge there or plug the hole. To gauge tank pressure just remove the safety valve and install a tee fitting, reinstall the safety on one side and thread a gauge on the other fitting. For adjusted pressure gauge, just remove a quick connect and install tee fitting there. Not pretty but works great. Good luck

Yours may be another brand. To find who makes yours look on ebay. Make search for {pressure washer pump only} and look for one that matches yours. Then look for that breakdown. Good lu ck.
