Asus A626 keeps cutting off

I had a problem similar to this, and I used YOUR solution to fix it. In fact looking for you to thank you for the idea is how I found this problem.

Sometimes even with the battery cover on and intact, the sensor does not correctly detect it. My screen was turning off randomly and sometimes would not even get through the Asus init before it would turn off again.

So, looking at the solution you posted I pushed a small wad of Kleenex in the hole and then put the cover back on. It's been running fine for almost a day now.

So, thanks for the suggestion. I had no idea that sensor was there.

My asus 626 will not power on and the hard reset

By not power on, does it start to turn on and then turns off on its own? I recently had this problem and solved it using a version of another solution posted.

It turned out that the sensor that detects the battery cover is on wasn't working reliably. I took a very small wad of Kleenex and put it in the hole in the top right (holding the PDA upright with the screen away from you) hole and then put the cover back on.

Turned on and stayed on after that.

I checked and my battery cover is not damaged in any way, so the sensor must have moved somehow.

Hope this helps.

Cannot remove the calendar events

Did your friend do a "hard reset" of the PDA before she gave it to you? A hard reset should erase all user settings and data, returning the system to its default state.

The ASUS 626 User Manual (Ch. 1, Pg. 4) refers to this process as a "clean reset". The following instructions were extracted from the user guide:

NOTE To perform a clean reset, press the launch button and
simultaneously pressing the stylus on the reset switch. Then
a warning message appears. Press to do clean reset, or
press to leave the operation screen.
Performing a soft reset will not change the data in the device;
while performing a clean reset will delete all data

if you're searching for devices via bluetooth, then make sure the device(s) are on/and in pairing mode (usually done by holding down a power button, or combination of buttons) and also sometimes have a setting to become discoverable -make sure thats on too.

Once you have the device in pairing mode, then search from your Asus

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Graphics card no picture on monitor when connected via HDMI or any cable?

The issue you are experiencing with your graphics card and monitor can be caused by various factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to identify and resolve the problem: 1. Check power connections: Ensure that the graphics card has the necessary power connections properly connected. Some higher-end graphics cards require additional power connectors, such as 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Make sure they are firmly plugged in. 2. Verify BIOS settings: Access your motherboard's BIOS settings and check if the primary display output is set to the PCIe slot where your graphics card is installed. It should be set to prioritize the discrete graphics card instead of the integrated graphics (if applicable). 3. Update BIOS and drivers: Visit the Gigabyte website and make sure you have the latest BIOS version installed for your motherboard. Additionally, download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from the XFX or AMD website. Outdated firmware or drivers can cause compatibility issues. 4. Reset BIOS: Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. Locate the CMOS battery on your motherboard, remove it for a few minutes, then reinsert it. This action resets the BIOS settings to their defaults and may resolve any conflicting configurations. 5. Check for physical damage: Inspect the graphics card for any physical damage, loose connections, or faulty components. Ensure that it is securely inserted into the PCIe slot and that there are no visible signs of damage on the card or its connectors. 6. Test with a different monitor and cable: Connect your graphics card to a different monitor using a different cable (e.g., DisplayPort, DVI) to rule out potential issues with the HDMI cable or the monitor itself. This helps determine if the problem lies with the graphics card or the specific combination of monitor and cable. 7. Check for motherboard compatibility: Verify that your graphics card is compatible with your motherboard. Check the manufacturer's website for compatibility lists or consult the user manual for your motherboard. In some cases, a BIOS update might be necessary to ensure compatibility. 8. Seek professional assistance: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the technical support of your motherboard or graphics card manufacturer. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or recommend further action, such as warranty service or component replacement. Remember to handle your hardware with care and take necessary precautions, such as grounding yourself and disconnecting the power supply, before performing any physical checks or adjustments.
