MESSAGE LIGHT INDICATOR WILL NOT FLASH AFTER SOMEONE HAS LEFT A MESSAGE

If this is a system-wide problem affecting all phones then the voice mail integration is not programmed correctly. If this problem is affecting only 1 phone, then the VM message waiting function is disabled on the user's voice mail account or the status of the user's message waiting light is out-of-synch with the VM controller (Light on when the system think's it's off and vice-versa). Contact your system support person or service company for further assistance.

Must press "cancel" in order to hang up - cannot hang up normally.

Your phone may be in headset mode. There could be a key on your phone that would toggle it on or off. If you have this key on your phone it would be lit. If there is no key, you would need to enter a feature code to deactivate this feature.

Phone won't "make busy"

The agent must first be actively logged-in to the queue before they can perform this function. NOTE WELL - - that if at any time the agent just walks away without first placing their phone in makebusy, that the system will not know they're away and may queue-up a call to that phone. IF THAT HAPPENS then the presented call will ring a few times then re-queue itself back into the hold queue, no harm, no foul, BUT THE AGENT PHONE will be automatically logged out so that this does not happen again. This is an "goof-proof" function of most better call center systems. So now when the agent comes back from break and sits there like a bump on a log because no calls are coming to his/her phone because the system logged him/her out. THIS IS A TRAINING ISSUE and an administrative issue, not a support issue. Hope this helps!!!

Where exactly is the mute button on 4015 super set phone

The "MUTE" button is the microphone on/off button. It is labelled "MIC" on the phone. Hope this helps!!

Printer queue is full on sx-50 attendant console

This is explained in the SX-50 system maintainer's handbook, 2 copies of which came with your SX-50 when it was new. However, this is a pretty old piece of phone equipment (30+ yrs) and when these systems were originally set up by outside service companies, it was not unusual for them to take the manuals so that customers would not be tempted to tamper and would call the service co instead. However, all is not lost. There is a very good Mitel support group on Tek-Tips (www.tek-tips.com) On tek-tips the Mitel forum is under Home->Forums->Wiring Closet->Phone Systems->Mitel Networks Solutions Forum. You will need to register in order to post. Hope this helps.

How do I change the speed dial keys that are already programmed?

  1. In the phone, press the Menu key.
  2. Click View Speed Dial List.
  3. Click a contact or phone number.
  4. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To change the contact that is assigned to a speed dial key, click Edit. Click a new contact.
    • To assign the contact to a different speed dial key, click Move. Roll the trackball to move the contact to the new speed dial key. Click the trackball.
    • To delete the contact from the speed dial list, click Delete.

I cannot figure out how to set up my voicemail

If a voice mailbox was created for you, all you should have to do is dial the voice mail extension or access code, enter the starting password which is usually 0000 or 1111 and follow the directions given during the call.
