If you obtained the Sylvania netbook second-hand and don't have the user manual, perhaps you don't know that the wireless connection must be turned on (I didn't, at first). This is done using the 2-key combination Fn-F11 (the function key is the first one on the bottom row). A green light will come on to indicate that wireless is active. Pressing this key combination again turns on the Bluetooth capability, which causes a blue light to come on. Pressing it once more turns both of them off. Hope this helps.

but without doing all of these steps is not possible? I have only collergarmi with the wi-fi. I do not have to configure the modem.

try another power adapter, remove battery.
