How do i override the stuck in fault mode on a mitsubishi electric MSH18NV
If you are a technician, then the first thing to do is to see what the actual fault that caused the lock out is. This is found on the control board in the outdoor unit. There should be LED's on the board that will give a trouble code. The fault MUST be corrected or the logic in the board will just keep locking the system out. The issue may be due to a failed component, low charge, faulty sensors, power outages, etc. It is really difficult for anyone to give a specific fix without looking at it to see what the fault is. I would definitely NOT recommend attempting a fix if you are not a trained technician due to the high voltage hazards and the specialized tools needed to work on the system. If you are a homeowner, I would recommend recycling power at the indoor and outdoor unit, then if it faults out again....call a technician. Leave the power off for 5-15 minutes to allow the system to completely de-energize, then turn it back on. Hope this helps.
