If you are not using your printer atleast once a week the inks will tend to dry out. you can replace the ink or try a simple test by taking a Q-tip with alcohol on it and rubbing it across the cartridges ink face. then place it back in and try to print something. If it works a little after the test sheet, the ink is too old or dried and needs replacing.
