Hi, my canon ip2600 printer
the printer is grabbing multiple paper because the paper is stuck together in cold times the paper sticks together when you insert paper into the paper try try to make the papper loose

Are the new cartridges original parts or copies? Some machines are very fussy. If the parts are genuine try removing and reinstalling them a few times and see if this helps. (This may also work with copies!)

On the printer where you load the paper there should be some type of ruler where you press and move to fit the size of the paper. Adjusting that should fix your problem.

open the top lid cover.
The printer carriage ink will position itself in the middle.
Lift up the cover and gently remove the ink cartridges upward.
Examine the ink cartridge. Drill a small hole at the mid section at the top of the cartridge. Small enough for the syringe carrying the ink to get in. Do not push the needle of the syringe inside so far, cause this may damage he foam inside the cartridge. Press gently and slowly the ink in the syringe. After filling up the cartridge , do not forget to cover the small opening as this may dry up the ink.
Return back the cartridge to he printer.
After that reset the printer. Press and hold down the resume button and wait untill the printer restart itself.

Is there an ink resetter in your printer, reset the ink to dectect to detect the ink cartridge.
If not clean the chipset of the ink cartridge by using cloth will alcohol or warm water.
Also turn off your printer for 5 mins and put again the cartridge.
