Is the machine connected to a phone line?

You must have forgotten something that came after Enter (....) and OK. I checked the whole manual and could not find such a string.Please refer to the manual.

Most jams in this area of a printer are caused by two things: The Pickup Roller and the Separation Pad in the Tray. You can clean the roller with a coffee filter and water or use a non-amonia based cleaner. I suggested the coffee filter for several reasons:Cheap, Lint Free & Durable. Now as to the Separation Pad: Rough up the pad with a sharp knife [lightly please!] or rub with steel wool. this should be done if the pad feels slick when you rub you finger over it. Also, check the registration sensor flag which is usually just under the toner cartridge or just before it. If that flag is sticking, or slow to return to its correct position, the signal detects its late and stops all paper movement thinking it's jammed.

If the drum is used up you open the front door and press menu or options and tell it it's a new drum, otherwise you clean the metal contacts on the sides of the drum and inside the printer, and run the blue tab back and forth about 20 times. If still drum error you may have a bad power supply.

you may have been putting the passphrase and not the hexadecimal equivalent network key. you should be inputing hex chars (0-9, A-F).

For 64-bit WEP: 10 hex characters
For 128-bit WEP: 26 hex characters

try this trick, open then the front cover and remove the drum&cartridge assembly then reinsert while the cover is open press clear/back key and will ask you 'replace a new drum' just answer yes by clicking an arrow up

I have a brother mfc 7840wI first used the electrical tape trick and that worked for a while. Then got the toner low message again. I then tried the *00 trick, which works as follows:1. lift lid and open front cover2. press clear/back. "Replace Drum?" will appear on the screen.3. Press "*00" it will then read accepted and the toner low error (End of Toner Life) should go away.4. close it all up and your done.

open the front cover of the machine then press clear back it will say replace drum? press ok
the quality will probably start getting pretty bad as you will be using the drum passed it's life
