Carrier jam
Raise the scanner unit and check the length of the cartridge carrier path for any foreign objects or anything blocking the free motion of the unit. Make sure that the cartridge carrier lids are closed. Then lower the scanner unit and press the button with the check mark. (page 173 of the manual)
Now try to print. If the error persists, there is either still something not in place, blocking the unit from moving freely or it needs service.
I hope this works.

(some of the printers have a guide strip behind the carrier that can come out of the carrier but I'm not sure this unit has that. If it is present, press it down and let it up in the guides (sometimes you have to move it forward and back as well).)

Why is it not takeing the paper
There are several possibilities. The only one that doesn't involve going to a service center is try using a fresh **** of paper. Paper draws moisture out of the air and becomes slick. If that doesn't take care of the problem, the printer will need to be serviced
Changed color cartridge and getting error
I had the same problem with my X8300 printer. As the printer was less than a year old Lexmark sent me a new printer. I will keep this printer until it to goes wrong and then buy another brand. Lexmark - cheap and nasty, I am afraid.

If it's the transparent strip that fell off from the assembly, it's called the encoder strip. It is, somewhat, related to sending information to the carrier's movement on the carrier shaft or the silver rod accross the printer. I'm afraid that can't easily be fixed. But, it would be better to contact Lexmark for assistance. They may be able to help you with that. Hope I can help more on this.
My lexmark prints things out PINK - it says there
Hi, try removing the cartridges from the printer. Clean the nozzles of the carts using a damp paper towel first, then finish it using dry paper towel to wipe it off clean. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Plug power after 10-15 seconds. Reinsert the cartridges. Make sure the cartridges are secured in the carrier. Hope this helps.
Paper jam on right side only
Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Printer will not print from the computer
Good Afternoon, here are a few things to check for.
First, I presume your printer previously printed okay?
If not then I would check the printer cable first.
Unplug then replug the USB cable into the printer. Does the computer make a sound and say found new hardware? If not probably bad cable.
Second, If you get the sound and/or message then cable is fine and we will go on to software.
Go to start menu - control - printers & faxes - double click on your printer icon
Make sure it does not say "Use printer offline" , if it does then click the printer tab & uncheck this option
Next try deleting and reinstalling via manufacturer disc or via website file from manufacturer.
You should try printing a test print before starting and after each step to see if it starts working. (click on printer tab - properties - print test page)
Let me know if this works for you. If not be glad to assist further.
