Hai My problem

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }a:link { }

Sounds like some bad capacitors, probably on the power board. I've had a similar problem with a Dell 17" monitor, a 42" plasma tv and a 37" LED LCD tv, all now fixed and working properly.

If it's under warranty then send it back to be fixed. If not then you have two options.

1. Pay a tv repairman or similar to fix it for you. Probably the most expensive option.

2. You could remove/replace them yourself if you're handy with electronics, or know someone who is. All you need is a soldering iron and a screwdriver. The capacitors themselves are quite cheap and easy to replace

They should look something like this:
drunknmonkey_4.jpg
As you should be able to see, the one on the left is bulging. The blue stripe with the arrow tells you that the lead on that side is the negative, the positive lead should also be longer than the negative one.

Tools needed
-----------------
1. Soldering iron.
2. Solder - not acid core
3. Phillips screwdriver
4. Flat head screwdriver
5. Wirecutters

Instructions
--------------
1. Unplug monitor and open case.

2. Identify power board, it should have a lot of electrolytic caps on there and obviously should be connected to where the power lead is attached.

3. Identify the bad caps, they should be bulging and/or leaking, although not always. Note down the three values for each cap (eg 220uf, 16v, 105c) and their approximate dimensions, and get new ones, preferably Rubicon or Panasonic, the link below will help you chose some good ones. If in doubt you could remove them and take them to the shop, but you'll have to remember where each one goes and which way round it was (take a pic).

4. Very carefully heat up the contacts on one side with the soldering iron, and rock the cap the other way, then do the other side, keep doing this until the cap comes out.

4. Replace with new cap, making sure that you observe the polarity and make sure it's securely seated and soldered in. Make sure the solder is neat, tidy and doesn't contact anything else. If there's any solder left in the holes then you'll have to heat it up or remove it before you can get the new cap's leads through. Once done properly trim the leads off so they won't cause any problems.

5. Replace casing and test. If it doesn't work then you'll have been a bit messy with the solder, tidy it up and try it again.

My HP w2007 19

No, no virus. This is usually a power supply problem. I see this thing all the time with LCDs. If you montior is less than 3 years old Dell should replace it for you.

Just go to this link:

https://support.dell.com/support/supportrequests/create.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

Type in your PC's service tag and click send them an email or do what I do and use the online chat feature. It is quick and easy. You'll need to give the very log serial number off of the back of the monitor (usually begins with the letters MX, CN, or MC).

However, if it is older than 3 years you may be stuck buying a new display. Luckily there are some great deals now on new LCDs....let me know how it goes.

The first third part of the screen is lighter then rest almost impossible to see what is going on

Your LCD Screen matrix is out. It will hav t obe replaced.. sorry but there is not alternative to this. The price for the matrix is more than likely more than a new monitor... sad thing.

Hp w1907 monitor stays on for a second when turn c...

It acts like it is not getting signal from the video card or it goes into shutdown mode to protect itself.
Try it on another PC first, if it still does not work then you will need to open iy up.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My hp w2207 keeps going to sleep about every 30

It is probably going to sleep because it's not getting any keyboard input.
You'll need to go to the control panel and the power options and tell it not to go to sleep or at least increase the time that it will remain idle before going to sleep.

Watching movies is not input, so it thinks you are not using it.

I have a HPw1907 monitor and it will turn on for

We have the same model of monitor and had the same problem few days ago. The monitor just goes black/turns off. I noticed that the power button has a yellow blinking light and cannot be turn on/off again using the power button. The CPU is working fine also. When I turn off the avr, the power button's light turns blue for a few second and you can hear a click sound from the back of the lcd before it totally turns off. My lcd monitor is over a year old now and is 110v or 220v capable. Mine was originally in a 220v, i just put it in 110v and the monitor was fixed.. Hope this can somehow fix your problem.

separate the wiring in the back, do not let them touch. Touching wires creates cross-talk of signals. Should be an immediate fix.

Our HPw1907 monitor appears to constantly want to

I started a thread on my own forum because there is a lot of discussion about this on many forums with no responses from HP and no one seems to mention that they got a replacement despite the massive problem that it is. It is out of order and I don't doubt for a second that HP knows the length of life of the components in their monitors. All of these things are tested and your talking about components used for years. They know the score by now.
