Hi i have hp 1410,

Hi Thanks for your question.
I'm afraid your laptop developed well known for tx series laptops issue. It looks like your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has gone bad. Check HP website and see if your laptop is under extended warranty (HP issued some extensions of warranty on faulty series of laptops) If this is not a case you'll need to see a professional and possibly replace the motherboard. I'm sorry. This may put some light on your problem ------->http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Hardware/Tablet-PC-tx2000-display-and-wireless-problems/m-p/46834
Good Luck to you.

I have a tx1410 touchscreen

Hello,

First you need to check if you did not have any flash drive or device attached to your laptop when you turned it off. Because if you do, your system will not booth completely, you will only be having a black screen, and to solve that, you just remove your battery and insert in back then try to turn it on.

Ensure you have the battery fully charged. Then turn it on. If that does not help, then the problem could be a hardware problem, which could be that the module is faulty and the screen is not lighting up or the hard disk is disconnected or the RAM is not connected properly.

The module is like the flex on the laptop that assists the information from the motherboard be read on the screen. So if it is faulty then you will not be able to see anything.

For that, you need to open it up and replace the module. If it is the hard disk, just tighten the connection and the RAM too, then try to couple it back together and turn it on.

Try to hold down control+alt+delete to see if the task manager comes up, if it does, then you know it is not the module, then you select task manager and run an operating system disk, to format your hard drive and run a new operating system.

These are a list of most likely problems that can affect the screen of your laptop.

If you are not familiar with such technical activity (loosening the laptop), i will strongly advice you seek technical assistance from a professional, to avoid shock or further damage in the unit.

Take care and good luck

CD drive functions lost.

While it sounds like the drive is failed you can try this:

power down system
eject the physical drive from the chassis (there should be a lock release on the back of laptop)
slide the drive back into the chassis
power on the laptop

After windows starts up - go to my computer and see if the drive is present.

Keep me posted - we can try something else a little more intense

Hp tx 1410-blank screen,power on.

Take a flash light and see if you can see the desktop at all. If you cannot see it, try hooking it up to another monitor and see if that works. If there is no luck then your monitor has gone bad

My pavilion 1410 starts up but screen is blank,

It appears this is a lemon laptop as i have heard of dozens of people with the same exact symptoms "including my family" . I think every one should get hp to fix them or they should have to repay the consumer. sounds like defective engineering and class action suit. I own 4 Dell laptops and 1 Dell desktop and they all work but the hp laptop and the hp desktop we have both failed shortly after warrantee expired.

It is possible that your driver is corrupt or missing. Go to devise manager and check it. If it is there, saying everything is fine, try uninstalling and reinsstalling it

Wlan card gone missing

you have a mobo issue. this is a known hp issue. the only alternative is to replace the mobo (motherboard) or purchase a usb wifi adapter. i have seen this go out on tons of computers but be aware this issue you are having is the early symptoms of much bigger issues to come with this model. good luck!
