if your PS3 rempte is blinking red that means that you should use a usb cable from the remote to the console.i recommend not playing the game while they are connected.

My logitech wireless PS3 controller
Same problem, same model. It is a simple fix, there is a small reset button on the transmitter. Plug the transmitter in, restart the ps3 and press the button once it has been fully started.

Logitech controller for ps3
u should try to resyn the controller. You do this by holding the small button (tiny button on the back surface) in the back of the dongle that came with this controller. Plug that dongle in like normal and hold the button in the back for 3-5 sec. SInce u already replaced the batteries then this should do the trick. Same thing happened to me and thats how i fixed it.

I have a logitech ps3
It should have come with a little usb device that picks up the signal. It looks like a black flash drive. If you don't have that, you can't connect. I hope this answers your question.

I have a logitech ps3
A couple possible issues here.
The first is that the batteries on your controller are dead. You may want to try changing them to see if that fixes your problem.
The second is that your USB receiver may not be seated properly or the port on your PS3 may not be working with the USB receiver. Try a few different ports to see if that changes anything.
The third is that you have a hardware failure in either your controller or USB receiver. If that's the case then you'll need to get a replacement from Logitech.

It just randomly stopped working
With the latest update to the ps3, many authorized controllers got banned from use and will not sync with the system. This was an accident that happened while Sony tried to be big business and stop brand rip off controllers (ones that look and are sold as authentic sony brand ps3 controllers) from working with the units.
Your best bet is either buy a Sony controller or wait for the next update and see if sony undoes their screw up.

My logitech controller for PS3
you need to sync it with your ps3 console. There a button on the usb (underneath) that you need to press while pressing on the ps3 button on the controller. The usb needs to be connected to the console while your doing this.

My ps3 controller is is
i had one of these, it broke too, the problem was the usb dongle, the usb connector is very cheap and breaks easy, i did manage to fix mine but it didnt last very long, if you are good at soldering or know someone who is you can try re-soldering the four pins on the usb connector inside the usb dongle, they may have cracked and become disconected from the small circuit board, you should be able to see if there are any broken connections if you look through a magnifyer and gently move the usb lug up and down.
