Alpine MRP-F300 Car Audio Amplifier Questions & Answers
My car stereo
Many options are available to connect your iPod to your car stereo. Back on September 7, 2005, Apple reported that approximately 30% of new cars sold in the US in 2006 would offer seamless integration with the iPod, and that number has been steadily increasing since then. In 2008, Apple heralded that "over 90 percent of new cars sold in the United States have an option for iPod connectivity".As a result, third-party solutions have become less and less necessary for those lucky enough to be able to afford new or newer cars. Regardless, a round up of options still may be useful for those with older vehicles and/or limited budgets.
Power to amp no sound
Test your subs on another amp....If they are fine then try running different rcas in your car from the stereo to see if they are the culprit. If still no sound probably your output on your amp is gone.
I hooked up my F300
- If you amp started smoking then something burned up. Weather it is easily repaired or not is the question.
- I suggest opening the amp and see what burned on the board. Look for and chard blackness on any of the ports or anywhere on the board. I would double check your wiring connections to the amp as well. Make sure you don't have a short from that. Something definitely burned in the amp though.
- If you get the cover open and see something feel free to post back here and I can try to further assist you. Much will depend on your electronic skills and ability to trace back the problem should this be needed.
- Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa

I just got the MRP-F300 amp installed today and
not usualy if you were running them before without the amp the speaker could have still easily blown. with just the deck running the speakers you can clip the sound and damage the coils hook up and amp then you force the power through an already damaged speaker finishing it off try another speaker. or if it was bought used amp may be no good the previous owner probably noticed it cutting in and out and sold it before it fried. or the deck is old and yes it is a possibility the radio went bad. if you used cheap rca cables yes it could be bad as well.
MY AMP KEEPS BLOWIN THE FUSE...i CHANGED THE
Hello creelb22,
Fuses usually blow because of a short of too much current.
Test your wiring (including the speaker wires) and make sure they are not shorting or grounding against the vehicle chassis. Also make sure that the speaker voice coils are not shorted.
Hope this helps.
Cuts out at high volume.
and that's fine with the ohm load. But if you have them wired all together or in parrelel it changes the ohm load. You need to wire them all together in parreallel or in series to get the correct ohm load. Check the wiring diagram at www.the12volt.com to see what your options are. the mrp amps are at a 2 ohm load smallest stable so makesure they are wired above or right at
Wiring a car stereo & amp direct to a battery...NOT IN A CAR
from the stereo goes rca jacks to the amp, from the amp goes the speaker wires to the speakers then the toogle switch hooks up to the battery make sure its on the positive with the power cord that goes to the amp and also make sure you have a ground from your battery negative side and you should be in buiseness
Subs have almost no sound coming from them
Hello meow_mix_666,
If you have tried different amps and different subs with the same result, I'd definitely suspect that you are not getting enough of an output signal from the head unit. Checking the RCA's and perhaps using a different set of preamp outs would be a good idea.
One other possibility that you may not have considered is to check the phasing. I've run into speakers that had the markings reversed and running the subs out-of-phase on a 4-channel bridged would make a huge difference in the bass.
Hope this helps.
Alpine mrp-f300 cuts sound off when volume is turned up.
the problem when someone become a car audio fanatic is, we want to hear BOOMS but we are not sure how many watts the amplifier can handle, besides that theres one very important thing that most of the installers don't know. its called ohms law (not a joke) that law tells you everything about how to measure the ohms marked on the speaker labels and also the way that you connect the speakers (theres two models; serial circuit and parallel circuit)
every single movement that you make on the connections tells a different story, and if you over load the amp it will auto protect.
i suggest you to set the level at least at 60% so you don't make any damage to the internal components, and don't forget to study ohm's law because a really professional installer knows it and well, they do the matt to get the best performance.
I need a Manual for a Alpine Vie-x077 in English and also anyone know why it keeps saying the disc needs to be ejected but it won't
- Mechanical Issue: There might be a mechanical problem with the disc drive or the eject mechanism. It's possible that a part is jammed or not functioning correctly.
- Dirty or Damaged Disc: If the disc is dirty, scratched, or damaged, the player may have difficulty reading it and thus not ejecting it properly.
- System Error: There could be an internal error within the player's software or firmware causing it to not recognize the disc properly or to malfunction when attempting to eject it.
- Power Issue: Sometimes, power-related issues can affect the functionality of electronic devices. Ensure that the player is receiving adequate power and there are no loose connections.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Turn off the player and then turn it back on to see if it resolves the issue.
- Try ejecting the disc using the manual eject button (if available). This button is usually a small pinhole near the disc slot. You can insert a paperclip or a similarly sized object into the hole to manually eject the disc.
- If possible, try using a different disc to see if the problem persists. If other discs work fine, then the issue may be with the original disc.
- Check for any visible obstructions around the disc slot and remove them if present.
- If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Alpine customer support for further assistance or consider taking the player to a qualified technician for repair.
