Yes it possible that the inputs have been damaged on the circuit board of the amp. If the amp has hi level inputs you could try running a speaker wire input to it and see if it works. You might try another pair of rca cables to.

My sound cuts out and the power light blinks

the amp it going into protect mode because there is an internal fault with the amp. it will need to be repaired. best this to do is find a repair shop and let them handle it good luck man

My JL audio 1000 x 1 hooked up to 2. 15 Sundowns I play it and then after awhile it shuts down and says low voltage why is this happening

sounds like the amps not rated for the resistance tha subs have it running at....are they a dual 2 or dual 4 ohm?is the amp rated for 1ohm? sounds like amps going into protect mode

I have a jl audio jx500-1d went on protection mode and already disconnect every cable to it and try it again but same thing goes to protection mode

Sounds like you either shorted something out or overloaded the amp. Is there any odor coming from it? If so It will need to be repaired or replaced. What did you have connected to it and how was it wired?

You will need to open it up to see if anything damaged. That does not look good at all from the outside.

In your world, what does best results mean to you. how are the hifonics mounted? open air, closed box, vented box (optimized to what freq)? trunk or inside vehicle? all these variations weigh heavily on your configuration. As does what 'best results" means to you.

Jl audio amplifier keeps going into protection mode

Disconnect all the speakers one at a time and see if it stops doing that, if it does you have a shorted speaker or wiring
