Symptoms shows it is T-Con board related problem and T-Con board replacement will solve it.

There are 2 type of T-Con boards utilized in KDL-52V4100 and both are available in Shop Jimmy. Click T-Con-1 and T-Con-2 to have image and price info.
Qualified tech will check what board is required in tv as per its serial number and lcd panel.
I do not think this problem is related with using tv as monitor.
Hope this info will help you.

a ) It would be best to know what make and model of the unit ,

you are having problem with.

b ) Is it on the player or on the TV? or rather on your Home

Theater Equipment.

c) Is it working normally with good pictures ?, set a siding

audio ? or the picture is no good same with the audio.

d ) If the picture is clear then , most probably it is

on your TV audio setting , advice also what connecting cable

you are using.

The part number for the panel is: 1-802-593-11

The total cost is: $6,571.45 with a core return of $4,480 with a net cost of: $2091.45

This means that you pay $6,571.45 and the $4,480 will be refunded upon receipt of the damaged panel.

These prices were obtained from tritronicsinc.com

Hope this helps,

Servicing the unit requires a service manual , only with a fee.

I wish I could tell

you there was a quick fix or button to push that would fix

the TV problem but that is not the case or the solution needed to get

the unit operating correctly.

There could be many reasons. But, more Often, it would be

on the Circuits Board. You need to Open the TV, unplug the

wires from Circuits Board, pull it out and check it.

More often, you would find either a Loose Solder /

connection or Leaked / Bulged / Swelled capacitor. You

need to note down the part number and you could order it

online or go to your Local Electronics shop and

purchase it. Once you solder it, it would be all set.

Determine the symptoms; identify the cause of the symptoms;

repair the unit to eliminate the cause

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Thank you for choosing FixYa for assistance. I hope that my

information proves useful to you. If so, please take a moment

to provide me with a positive rating. I'd really appreciate it.

I would definetly call Sony and if it is something you can't live with return it, but remember impact damage voids the warranty, in other words if you were to drop the tv trying to return it the warranty is void. As much as you paid for that tv it should be cosmeticly a functionaly perfect. Let me know if I can provide further assistance and please rate this solution. Lone99star
