MY SAMSUNG LN52A650 LCD IT WILL TAKE 3 TO 5

Your power supply has some bad capacitors. They are easy to change if you have a soldering iron and can make a trip to radio shack. You need to take the back off the TV and locate the power supply. It is the tan board to the left... the power cord connector runs to it. There is a connector in the top right hand corner of this board. Once you locate it, look at the capacitors (look like plastic wrapped cans) near there. You will see some of them with swollen tops. These need replaced. Identify the value (1000uf or 2200uf). Go to radio shack and purchase a few of them in the 16v - 25v range (16v fit better). Replace them and put it back together. Works like a charm. I have a basic tutorial on soldering... the demonstration was actually on a Samsung power supply, changing these caps. You can check it out if you like on my tips & tricks. I hope this helps.

At just over 1 year old and out of warranty, my

Same problem on my friends Samsung LN52A650A. Never did the firmware update cause that refers to a random shut-off problem. I replaced (2) 1000 10 volt caps next to a heat sink with 1000s rated at 35 volts @105 degrees C. The tops on his were a little swollen and you had to really look close. The caps were 2 0f 4 inline caps. They were the smaller 2. TV works.

My LCD TV Has 4

The dots cannot be rectified, static dots of this kind on an LCD panel are dead pixels or liquid cristal leaks, depending on their hape and aspect.

The only fix is by replacing the LCD panel, that is an expensive part and must be ordered by phone, as it is not normally in stock.

You can inquire by phone here to find out part price.

Older Onkyo Compatability with newer HDTV

Hi rmccormick,
That Tv with the PS3 is a fantastic setup, The tv has one of the best picture quality ratings and the 4ms response time is great for fast action video and video games. The PS3 is a good decision for the Blu-Ray player, for the price you get a great game console along with the player, the drawback is that the PS3 runs alot hotter than a stand alone player, it will need to be well ventilated.
Your reciever will work but you won't be able to watch Blu-Ray in 1080p and that is the pupose of the PS3, you have to use the HDMI output on the PS3 to get 1080p and I doubt your reciever has HDMI, if it does your set if not I would buy a newer model with Dolby 5.1 and HDMI support, or if you want the best go with Dolby TrueHD.
You will need HDMI cables.
Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. Lone99star Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_77a19afa8d604dee

When I try to use both internal and external speakers at the same

Check your plugins to make sure the external speakers arren't plugged into the rear surround plugin. That usually makes an echo sound. Also try adjusting your equalizer. Right side of eq should be up higher, then middle should be a little lower, and left side of eq should be about the middle setting. If this works or not let me know

How do I troubleshoot my Samsung TV? I have sound, but no picture.

Caps can fail with no outward signs. It takes a special meter to test them. Your set may have a back light inverter that powers the back lights. When it fails, the picture cant be seen, but you have sound, to check this look for a picture on the screen using a flashlight
