After a lightening strike hit
i would say there is a good chance that the power board has fried , or some rectifiers on the power circuit have gone, i would check the mosfets for damage too. I would try a working power board in it to see if any life is shown before writing it off
Cannot get a good signal
I would try the tv on another known aerial and then re install on the new aerial. as what you describe sound like a signal fault.
TH46PZ85U comes on shuts off
Symptom of internal fault. Refer your user manual's troubleshooting section and see if they have mentioned anything about this LED blinking. If not, contact the Panasonic technical support.

Hi.
The light flashing twice, then pausing and flashing twice again means that an incorrect voltage has been detected in the +15VDC line. The problem is not necessarily confined to the PSU. The PSU is the first part to be tested. when The PSU is OK, the problem is usually the D board.

Picture and sound go off
The TV might be telling you that there's something wrong with the power (wrong or excessive voltage, for instance). Please test the TV at someone else's house to rule out electricity problems at your house. If the TV still shuts off, then there should be something wrong with its logic board or power circuits, and you should call a technician to inspect it.
Sound goes from loud to soft
Go to the menu and look at the sound setting, look if there is anything wrong. Check the input for a constant sound and restart them. Also restart the tv, unplug it and restart it. If all this doesnt help restore to factory settings.

Wont switch on, green light
It's a bad board. The P, A, SC, or SS board need replaced. Unless you are very proficient with board level work, it's all guessing. If you are going to tear down the panel, post a reply and I can help you further. Sorry for the bad news!

I have had my Panasonic Plasma tv for 5 months there was a loud pop and the tv went off and now there is a red light blinking 10 times and the tv will not turn on.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, make sure the MUTE or SAP function is not activated, then check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks (Red and White) to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.
