How can I adjust images to dvd?
There are two ways. One is the old way and the other by computer.
First the old way, you can get a video processor/mixer. These vary in price depending on how much you want to improve the image or add things or even do tricks. The video player ouput is fed into the box and the output to TV so you can see the effect the box has on the picture. Most will improve signal, colour and stop picture rolls and jump (they won't deal with macrovision). Some have sound controls too! They were used a lot for camcorder work in the past. So you might get one cheap on E-Bay.
And the new way is to connect the video to your PC and you can get software to digitally remaster the video, which it will then output to a DVD recorder. If you have a PC that can handle the big video files, it's more economic and you will get heaps better images.

Cd-r disc won't load; gives
This just a possibility why it won't work:
1. Your drive doesn't like that particular brand of disc media.. Some are picky!
To isolate it:
1. Try different brand of disc.
2. Try to load the 'problem' disc into different CD-R drive to see if that would work.
3. If you've got an old drive, you may need a new one which has a new laser which reads and burns discs better.
Hope this help and have a great day!.

Recording on Samsung VR375
Sony is not a good brand for buying DVD's. One option for you with the sony discs will be to try it in a computer and see whether it reads the disc. Also you can try using formatting using a software program like nero and see whether the samsung can recognize the disc.
Next time buy good quality discs...look up some reviews on the net.

Can not get dubbing to work
Samsung's solution to many problems seem to be the type of dvd. Try using a dvd-r. I am able to select dubbing with a dvd+r, but the +r discs won't play in other dvd players. Apparently, -r is the only disc to use with this box to avoid issues. The +r records the soundtrack a few seconds off of the video track.

Playing a recorded dvd from dvd-vr375 on another dvd player
If you are using DVD-R media, you can record in either V or VR mode. What is confusing is that if you try to format the media, you only have the choice of VR mode -- and this mode is very well understood by other dvd players, some other records do understand it. This mode has much better editing capability, but poor compatibility. If you want compatibility, use the V mode. The trick is that to do that, you don't format it! V mode is the default and does not require formatting. The owners manual says that, but too well hidden if you ask me

Machine doesn't work intermittantly
Ok this is prissymomof4 and I wanted to tell brewer 264 how we got ours to open finally. I will tell you exactly what we did and what we think fixed it. First we unhooked it completely from the tv and plugged it in at another location. I don't think that fixed it though because it was still hung even after we did that. Then we got the remote and we hit random keys on the remote. Something we hit finally broke it out of its funk. Once we got it unhung it opened and seems to be playing fine now. I hope this helps you too.
