The problem is most likely BAD OR DAMAGED SOLDER JOINTS between components and PCB... it may be in power supply or motherboard.. please carefully check each and every solder joints, please use a magnifieng lens to observe the pcb for dry solders. you must re-solder all the damaged joints..

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

HelloA defective power supply switching regulator board can cause this fault. Check your TVs power regulator board [mains] for any leaky or bulged capacitors in it. If there is some, the voltage regulation will be poor and all other circuit boards won't get sufficient voltage to work on. I hereby attaches two pictures. On the first one you can see a good capcitor with flat top and the same type of bulged [damaged] one. On the second picture, you can see two bulged capacitors [arrow marked] and goond ones by its side. This is the picture of the mains power switching regulator board of your Samsung Tv. Check whether there is such damaged capacitors, I've described above. If there are, repalce them with same type in capacitance. All of its details will be printed on its boady. You can buy them from any electronic spare part selling shops at your town. If this does not help you, replace the board as card basis. There is no other repair can be done with these type of power supplies, other than replacing damaged capacitors if any. OK.

Hey there! Your circuit board inside the TV is dead. Depending, it could be the whole board, or its just one little circuit. I had the same problem 2-3 weeks ago, the customer care came into my house and changed it for me in 2 min. They told me exactly what I knew they'd tell me, something is wrong with the cord and the plug in, so, you should replace the plug in you have, because it can cause the board to die off again.
It costed me around $100, and everything is perfect now. I wish you the best of luck!

sounds like the unit has entered a protection mode where a short has developed somewhere inside the tv. This response is the power supply in the tv trying to start up - seeing the overload and shutting down to protect itself, this loop will continue until the short has been resolved - best to get it repaired by a technician

Caps can fail with no outward signs. It takes a special meter to test them. Your set may have a back light inverter that powers the back lights. When it fails, the picture cant be seen, but you have sound, to check this look for a picture on the screen using a flashlight
