We sell a repair kit for this board, which has the fuse, resistor and the IC that usually fails along with them. You can find it at http://www.coppelltvrepair.com . I've seen that board fail in at least three different ways, though, and this is the least bothersome of them. We offer a repair service and have about 90% success even with burned boards. You don't pay any service fees if we can't fix the board. Finally, when available we also sell boards ready for use with a trade-in option. That ends up a little more costly than a repair, though.

More than likely the old board just a, or a few, blow, capacitor(s). It you have a soldering iron, you can replace them yourself for just a couple of dollars. Just look for puffed-up little can-shaped thingies, unsolder them, and buy replacements for a buck or two down at Radio Shack, and you should be "good to go"! Easy fix, and cheaper than a replacement board. I would think the /f7 board would work, if it has the same connectors as the /27 power supply board.

hi quick test to do , have you got an am radio if so point your remote at the radio and press the button one by one you should hear interference this mean the remote is working ok , hope it helps regards shaun

if you have a basic knowledge in electronic repair, the first thing you need to do is to remove the back cover of the tv to access the internal part. then you must check first the power supply board if their is a component that get burned. if ok, the next place to be will be the power inverter board and screen back light which the connector get burned.
