Your TV overheated probably due to condensation on the circuit. Keep the TV on as long as you can to drive off moisture. Or always leave it on standby to avoid condensation.

Hey, artbyart23! I came across your post and in order to help you with this, I need to ask you a few questions to better understand the situation. Do all of the functions on the remote control to that TV work properly? Are you able to pull up the Guide and the Menu? Are you able to change channels with that remote, as well as turn the TV and receiver on and off? What you may want to do is make sure there are fresh batteries in the remote.

The DVR must be set to use IR instead of RF. The RF Blaster that comes with the remote converts the RF from the Harmony remote to IR commands.

Unplug your receiver for two minutes. When the first screen pops up I think it says acquiring satellite info do the following.
With the remote press menu then go to settings then setup then reset and press restart everything .
Just remember to reset your times and settings on the dvr.
It may not work right away, just keep trying, including unplugging the infernal machine!

Sorry, no. Not unless you have a working unit you can put the faulty drive in, but as you say, it's faulty... by its nature a faulty drive isn't useable.

Contact the seller of your dish system directly for their return policy and send it back. You are not likely to be able to have a system with absolutely no noise, especially if it has a PVR function, which requires a hard drive (which makes a noise as it spins and accesses)

Pandora no longer permits you to have it open on two devices, unless you purchase a family account or a second account.

I would remove the batteries and spray electronic cleaner spray down the buttons
