If the shreder has a toggle switch try to cycle it a few times the may loosen up a piece of paper tha maybe stuck. But chances are if you over fed it and it locked up. You removed all the paper and it still wont work, I would say its damaged. Sorry

The feed switch located in the feed slot is jammed,you may be able to clear it with a small knife or screw driver.(just make sure to unplug the unit first)

I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad pc board, contact manufacturer for more info.

If you are referring to the paper feed sensor switch in the paper throat it sounds like the pc board or switch itself may be bad. I could troubleshoot a little better if I actually had you on the phone. A Customer Service Rep can help you at 1-800-945-4545.
