Remote lost program function
Hello, this is Vincent from Total Control Remotes - www.totalcontrolremotes.com. We program a lot of Marantz remotes as well as others and the problem could be a result of many different factors. It could be the programming or a physical reason. My suggestion is to send us the configuration file, we will take a look and confirm that the remote programming is not a problem. We can walk you through a variety of troubleshooting steps with the equipment once we have determined that. There is no real answer however until we do our homework.
Regards,
Vincent

Marantz Cr401/N1S constantly clicks after power surge/outage.
This can depend on what the player is actually worth. A more expensive player is worth getting a price for the repair. For a more basic, budget machine it often cheaper to just replace it. Your description suggests it is some sort of issue with the disc motor or the lens motor. You will need to get a professional repairer to look at this.

Maranta sr6013. Volume will not go past 85.
Make certain DRC (night mode, or whatever your specific model calls it) is OFF, and Make sure that Audyssey Dynamic Volume is OFF and Audyssey Dynamic EQ is ON!
The Dynamic Volume being ON is the most common cause of what you describe, as is directly limits the peak.
