Where do I get replacement gear for the shredder?

try a appliance repair shop for a supply agent for parts office supply shops that sell shredders may be able to give you the names of repair agents if it is more than 5 years old then junk it and get a new one as the cutter rollers will be blunt and probably the reason the plastic gear failed

I have this shredder with no book of instructions.

Simply where the paper feeds. Lubricate along the opening and then let unit run empty on reverse for 2-3 minutes. Good luck

Hi, One of the plastic gears inside the gear

Honestly Dennis - these bad boys are quite vicious and go up like jack-in-the box when you attempt to take them appart - I would recommend you bin it and buy a new one.

Problem ts 6000

I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad pc1.gif board, contact manufacturer for more info.

tip

The ability to think logically and creatively

Techs should be able to apply a consistent, logical methodology to the resolution of computer problems. This means that even when confronted with new situation, the tech will stand a good chance of being able to resolve the problem, or at least isolate the problem area. To back up their logical thinking, techs also must be able tomake creative leaps in reasoning when the application of logic fails to produce a satisfactory resolution
