Automatic stop

If it is still under warranty then it's best to get in touch with Crosley and get them to send an engineer out. It's perhaps an out of place switch or broken one.

I have a crosley machine that records from tapes to cds .I can't get the door open to put my cd in . It clicks but won't open. Help, Please

Loading mechanism fault. Check the loading belt. If it is broken, CD won't eject, or load well inside the mechanism. If loading motor is damaged, this kind of fault can occur. Anyway, you have to take out the mechanism out of it to get it repaired. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. My crosley portable turn table will start but half way into a record it stops spinning; please advise

There is a small motor under the turntable that either uses a belt to turn it or has a rubber tired roller that sets up against it and spins. You will probably be able to find a belt or rubber wheel at a TV repair shop. Some models had an adjustment on them and can be adjusted but more than likely you will need a new belt or rubber tire. The tires looj like a big square :O: Ring

Turntable skipping

It sounds like you need to adjust the need tension (counter-weight thingy on the other end). If the needle is too "light" on the disk, it will float around and over the groove walls. Make sense? Another thing is th tracking resistance of the stylus arm (if your player has this adjustment).. This one puts resistance on the horizontal movement to keep it from "skipping" when a deep scratch is encountered playing an album. The higher end players have these and many more adjustments which were made to counter scratches and deformities in vinyl records. My father had one which used a laser instead of an actual needle to read the track groove so that no wear occurs in playback.. (star wars stuff, right?) Goiod luck to you, but I think those two are your issue.

CD PLAYER WON'T READ CD'S

Will it read a store bought audio disk? If not, the only way to get it back up and going again is to have a professional replace the cd-drive.
