Trying to synch my remote

I had this same problem and it was due to their instructions which do not adequately explain the setup procedure. On my own, I was successful in programming volume up but that was all. I assumed that for volume down I would hold the power button and the VOLUME DOWN button and wait for the flashing light just as I had for volume up. Problem is, you never get a flashing light.Today, I spoke with a rep from Boston Acoustics who patiently explained that step one of the instructions has to be done the same way each time as it is the step that puts the soundbar into programming mode.It is only at step 2 that things change. The solution is to hold the power button and the Volume Up button every time in order to get the system into programming mode. Once the light is flashing, in order to program Volume Down, you then hold the Volume Down button until the light goes solid. Once the light goes solid, then press the volume down button on your remote 4 times slowly. Works like a charm.Works the same way to program the mute button. Follow step one to get the unit in programming mode. Once the light is flashing, hold down only the mute button until the light goes solid. When the light goes solid, press the mute button slowly 4 times.OBTW, this was programmed with a Logitech Harmony 650 remote unit.

Subwoofer is not working

HelloCheck the speaker of the Sub-Woofer. It is a common fault for sub-woffers that its lead wire will get loose contacted from its cone paper. You can repair this with caution. The lead wire can be bought from most oof the electronic spare part shops at your twon.

My "MicroSystem CD" will not

Have you got an external ariel for your FM Radio? Bet this is the problem!! But it's not as scary as it sounds. Get any two-strand wire (Speaker wire is the easiest for a novice to get), but if the two wires just happen to be one red and one black, even better. You only need about 5 cm for each piece. Trim about 3mm of plastic off one end of each wire, and twist the bare copper in your fingers . Now locate the Antenna jacks on the back of the unit You could have between two and eight. The will be coloured black and red. Take your bare copper wires and insert them into these fittings. If you have the black and red wires, black wire goes to black fitting. I hope this solves your problem.

Need 24v power supply, where can i get one.

Hi JR,

You didn't specify AC or DC. That's ok, I'm having a two-fer-one special.

Doorbell transformers give back 24VAC

Two 12VDC batteries in series gives you 24VDC. Overkill?

Transformers from many HP printers ar between 20 to 30 VDC.

The source I use is GoodWill. In the electronics or computers section, they usually have a big box of them.

Hope this helps you out

Where can I download a mixer device

Unless they are USB speakers they would not need a mixer or drivers device.

Plug in ONLY the regular wired speakers and ONLY to the green port on the back.

Make sure they are powered up and the volume is about half way.
OK now you need to call up ether the sound card application or preferably the windows volume control from the bottom tool-bar.

Click Open Volume Control.

A box with sliders in should appear. make sure that volume control, wave, sw synth, aux, cd player, line in
are all about half way and that none of them have ticks in the box at the bottom.

If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else)

Now close the slider box.

Put a normal music CD in your CD/DVD player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.

You should now have sound out of the speakers.

Double check again and make sure it all works.

If you still have any problems check your hardware list and make sure thee are no exclamation marks by any sound hardware (excl. speakers)

These need to be sorted out first. for that you need to know what your sound card is and download the drivers (or update them)
