have you replaced the toner cartridge?
If the machine sounds like it is "cycling" then the toner may have run out and for some reason the toner light has not come on.

Ok first which paper tray is it requesting ?
do this change the Paper tray selection so if this resolves your problem ?

you can set your own codes if you forgot yours. press the counter code then the department registration (botton left) it will ask for a password , press the password key and enter 123456 you can then goto register new department and you can create a new passwrd for yourself

If your copy quality is still fine and there is no other problems on the machine.
You can then do the following.
Please switch off the machine.
While holding down 0+8 switch on the machine.
When the machine is in test mode input 252 and press the print button.
The value on the display input 0 and enter the new value.
Or input 251 and make the value 0, that will switch off the [Time For Periodic Maintance] warning.
The warning will not appear again.

Press the hard button that says User Function. Then on the touch screen press the button that says drawer. Select the drawer you wish to change. Then select LT-R . Next set your drawer paper stops to fit the LT-R. paper and you should be all set.

You just need to have connecting Cable, USB and driver to install in printer, both are bundled with printer.

Did u installed the printer kit?
What kind of interface u're using, RJ45/network or USB ?

Kindly check the contrast button and the connector.

The hard drive stores the operating system for this machine so you would have to have the copier programming to reload after you changed the hard drive and I am not certain that the programming would even support a larger drive. Default code is 123456 Turn off copier, press 0 and 8 and hold down while turning copier on. enter 263, start, enter new code press enter. Turn off and on

The driver for window 7 is scheduled on Jun 2010. U can try minidriver see whether can work or not.

OK, what is the error code under the "Copier needs Service Tech"?

By default, after 74000 of PM counter, it will appear.
U can clear it if the machine is working fine.

Reset PM counter
08-252, set the value to '0'

To disable the PM counter,
08-212, set the value to '0'

Ask the company you bought it from. It's up to them.

could be a sensor blocked and the machine thinks there is paper present follow the small holes on the tray to locate sesor also keep in mind u can unplug the sorter and ur copier will work

Periodic Maintenance will appear if the PM counter setting is reach.
Normally, it wouldn't affect your machine, just that the message will shown at panel.

U can enter setting mode 08-252 to, set "0" to clear the counter, or 08-251, set "0" to disable the PM counter.

If your machine having problem, totally cannot run, u can enter 08-253 to display the last 8 error codes.
