How do I stop printing from RICOH 1515 from fax
You might have this fixed already. If not, you may help me help you by saying what happens. Does the machine show a jam because paper is a different length than programmed into machine? This may cause machine to never "complete" printing your received fax. I will see if anything else comes to me.
Paper tray is full but
You already found the problem. That sensor is the paper sensor. It probably is broken. You need to replace it or glu it.
I do not want a Communication Result Report after
This is a somewhat complicated change. You must change the user parameter "switch" to turn the automatic printing of the transmission result report off. If you have your Facsimile Reference Manual "Advanced Features" then just go to the user parameters section and go thru the steps. If you do not have your manual you can download for free here.
Be sure to get the advanced features facsimile manual.
Sorry for the referral to a manual but you will see what I mean, it is just too much stuff to type here and the manual has pictures of the display as you go.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
The copier is jammed - the copy light and load
Have you removed the paper tray to see if there is a piece of paper behind the tray ? Paper will frequently go behind the tray and wind up in the size switches and or the tray lift gears.
I would check that first. Let me know.
We were getting streaky lines, it also ask us to
Are you getting these lines when copying? Or Printing?
Or both. Are these dark lines or blank lines?
If it is just when copying, try making a copy by laying an original on the glass rather than using the feeder. If this copy comes out clean then you need to clean the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) scanner glass. Just open the section where the documents are fed into and you will see a strip of glass that runs from front to back, about an inch wide. Clean this with a soft cloth and a bit of glass cleaner.
If this works then great. If not then reply back with more details and I will help you further.
My ricoh keeps telling me that the toner is
Sometimes with those small copiers, the cap from the old toner bottle will remain when you put in a new bottle. Take out the toner bottle and look in the mouth of the toner hopper (where the top of the bottle sits) to make sure there isn't a plastic cap with two fins on it sitting there. If it is there, that's your problem -- just throw it away.
If there's no old toner cap there, make sure the toner bottle is sitting on the hopper tray and the tray is pushed in, snapped into place, and the green handle on the front is in the downward position. If the toner hopper isn't pushed in all the way so it snaps in, the machine won't be able to load toner.
If neither of these scenarios is the problem, check to make sure you have the right kind of toner. I believe for a 1515 it should be type 1170D, but you might want to check your owner's manual to be sure.
I need a manual for a rich aficio 1515 mf cannot
The PCU is removed by opening front door and right side door.Black PCU will have one electrical connector on front, very visible, that needs to be unplugged with machine turned off, push a little black plastic guide on left side of PCU and it should pull forward and come all the way out. Putting the new one in is reversed, except there will be a plastic strip that has to be pulled off before installation. Good luck, please rate this. Thanks
Double sided is no longer an option with mac os 10.5.4
Go into the advanced settings of the driver and look for the settings that tell the copier what features you have. Make sure the duplex is turned on. Normally I set these up for Windows use and I have one client who uses a Mac and he did show me that the features do exist for the print driver.
Once it is enabled the double sided printer feature should work.
