sounds like you have a short between the chrager and the phone... look and see if anything is bent where the phone and charger meet....if not.. call verzon your phone my still be under warranty and if it is they have to send you a new one ....of its just the charger they will GIVE you a new charger too

soft reset the phone... take out the battery, then press the power button...wait 30 seconds put battery back in and repower......

Try making test calls to someone and use a wired headset.
If they can hear you better - that you know it is the mouthpiece microphone that has gone bad.

If they cannot hear you better - something is wrong internally with the phone.

Usually insurance replaces your phone with a REFURBISHED unit. They check everything at least once before they send out the units, but problems that are intermittent - (just show up some of the time) don't always show up in testing. So yes sometimes you get a dud, and they have to replace it again. If you already paid a deductible, you won't have to pay one again. The refurbished one should be covered free for the next year!!

The issue is the charger port on the ENV2 breaks fairly easily.Thefirst step is to contact your carrier to see if it is coveredunderwarranty. If it is, great get it replaced.

If not, you have 3 options:

1. you can get the charging port repaired. The cost is about 50 dollars. I recommend Cellulardr.com

2. you can get a new phone. cost ???

3.You can get an external battery charger to charger the batteryseparatefrom phone. cost about 25 dollars. Check out the following linkforones that are available on ebay. A extra battery is a good idea aswell so you can have one charging at all times.

If the screen is black, but the keyboard lights up, then you need to replace the flex (A flexible wiring harnes between phone and screen.)

It just need a simple software update on the key pad press *228 and then press option 2 and let it restart the phone by its self

I've had that before too...after i waited a while it would finally send. Now I'm getting an "invalid address" error when I got over 140 characters...

yeah its a common problem. I have found 9 others just like us. mine happened for no reason what so ever. Having a huge fight with verizon now to take it back. They wan tme to pay $300 for a new phone (same phone) cuz i'm still under contract. they are accusing me of doing this. been loyal and paid bills on time for 15 years and this is my treatment. my war isn't over. I'm taking my info to the store tomorrow and will try and get back to you.

Unless you live in a climate with near 0% Humidity, the bag of rice fix will take longer than 24 hours.

Give it three or four days back in the bag and then try it.

It sounds as though its bouncing back nicely

This seems to be a common problem for the env2. If you hold your charger a certain way in the phone does it charger? Is the charger port broken or damaged?

If so the easiest workaround is to get an external battery charger and extra battery to charge the phone.

This happened to me. My problem was that i had a memory card, and i accidently put the save options for my pictures to my phone memory instead of to card memory. So it messed up my phone.

Sorry to hear about your phone. The manufacturer has a 1yr warranty that covers things like this. If it is still under a year, you can take it to a corporate/direct store and have it replaced as long as there isn't any water/moisture damage. Sorry to say but there's not a whole lot you can do to fix it. I would definately start out by removing the battery though... leave it out a few seconds and then see if it resets your phone. A software update or some other basic troubleshoooting steps are really not going to get you much of anywhere. Hope this helps : )

Sorry to hear about your phone. Based on what you're saying, there's a problem with your charging port obviously. I had the same issue with a previous phone. This is an issue i've seen in some LG phones unfortunately. The Manufacturer has a 1yr warranty, if you haven't had the phone for more than a yr, take it in to a corporate/direct store and get it replaced. Hope this helps : )

this also happened to my phone its not the memory card, its the phone...check if any of your front keyes on your keypad are broken too. Mine where and it was as if the memmory card didnt exist. If this happens you have a 1 year warranty with verizon and you can get a new env2 which is what i just did. they sent me a new one and it works perfectly.

If it still doesn't work after removing the battery and reinstalling it, there is nothing much you can do except for sending it back to the service center.
