Enabling background data
Google Play requires you to enable background data in order to function properly.
To enable background data and auto sync on your device:
- Press Menu from the home screen, then visit Settings
- Under Wireless & Networks, select Data usage
- Tap the menu button in the top right corner
- Make sure "Restrict background data" is not selected and "Auto-sync data" is selected
Please note that on some devices, you'll find the background data option here: Menu > Settings > Battery data manager > Delivery > Background data.

How to unlock and factory reset samsung sch-r680
Typically when a mobile device is locked, it wants the original e-mail account name and password it was setup with. You shouldn't need internet connectivity to unlock the phone. If you can log into your account at
https://mail.google.com/ that's good, but it doesn't guarantee it's the same account the device is using or the original password used.
In some cases, if the device can receive a call, you can access the menu during the call and disable the screen lock.
If you don't remember the username and the account was properly setup at creation time, you can recover the name using "I forgot my username" here:
http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46346 And here's a trick to recover an account name on an Android device:
https://productforums.google.com/d/topic/gmail/ydNElvUjJVU/discussion
If you have the username, the following will help with the process to recover the account by resetting the password:
http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/
BUT... A recovered account or changed password won't have the original password which is what the device needs to be unlocked. In that case the device will probably need to have a factory reset done (read the owner's manual for instructions) and then setup again with an e-mail account (be sure to write the information down this time). If it's setup with the recovered e-mail account, any purchased apps and synced data should be restored. If a new account needs to be created, all previous information will be lost.

Lock code for nam2 settings
Ok i sent an email to sumsung and i got this response
Thank you for your email. If you switched the NAM to NAM2 you will need to calculate the code. Listed below are the steps on how to do so:
1.Obtain the Hexadecimal ESN of the phone. The ESN should be printed on the sticker on the back of the phone, under the battery. The Hexadecimal ESN is the one with letters and numbers.
2.Open Windows calculator by going to Start -> Run -> type in "calc", then click OK
In the Calculator, click "View" then "Scientific".
3.Click on Hex and type in the Hex ESN
4.Click on Dec for the decimal conversion and use the last four digits for the code on the handset
5.Once the code is entered and the menu can be accessed, switch the NAM to NAM1

Reset
Instructions
-
-
1
Turn on the cell phone. If it's locked, use the current PIN number to unlock it.
-
2
Navigate to the "Settings" screen, or to a screen of the
same significance. Different phones will have different names for
screens, but the security features are always available on the screen
that allows users to change the settings.
-
-
3
Open the "Security" menu. On this menu, you will probably be
able to view your passwords and information about your phone, such as
the email address you were given by your service provider and your phone
number.
-
4
Enter the menu that allows you to view and change your password.
-
5
To change your password, you'll first have to enter your
current password. You'll then need to enter your new password and
confirm it. Make sure the new password is something you can easily
remember. If you lock your phone and forget your password, you'll have
to enter your phone's PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) or call your cellular
service provider to get an unlock code, either of which can be a hassle.
God bless you

Samsung glyde - no response to charging
Find someone else with a glyde and ask them if you can trade them batteries for a day to see if it's a bad battery. ( you can usually buy a battery for $5 on ebay, or up to $20 in your carrier cell phone store)
If the problem follows your old battery, toss it and buy another battery.
And if neither swapping out the charger and the battert solve your problem then its the phone itself. I have called in to our cell companies before and let them know we have a phone that will not hold a charge no matter what battery or charger I use... and they usually replace free it under warranty as long as the phone is less than 12 months old, and the white squares in the battery compartment are still white. (Pink Red means oops! water got in there) and then you’re only getting them to cover replacement if you have cell phone insurance
Phone got wet & works fine but says network error
Cell phones do not recover gracefully from getting wet internally. The electronics were not made to get wet.
You would be better served to get a new phone. Getting a cell phone wet is almost alway death to the electronics, even if the phone is dried out completely, The problems caused by the damp electronics will cause strange and intermittent problems.
Initial programming needed
Dial *228 and press send. Listen for the prompt and press 1 to program
your phone. Remain on the call while your phone is programmed (could
take up to 2 minutes). Do not hang up until you hear, 'Your phone has
been programmed successfully."
Good luck!
