the break wire needs to be grounded

XO Vision... • Answered on Mar 07, 2019 • 6,387 views

I am just giving a suggestion. I too need to know how to wire this. From what you posted it sounds like you hooked the wire to a constant +12v that is always on. Forgive me if I am wrong. Anyway, Did you connect this wire to rear reverse light power. I think from what you say it is supposed to be connected to the positive side of that light. If this solves your problem can you PLEASE let me know the full details of everything else you hooked up on the circuit to make the backup work. For instance what is the label of the orange wire. TIA.

since the outputs from dvd player are all separate , 1st id look for a plug out or missing from both the display and the player (even if in same housing ) , then id move onto substitution (use small tv run on ext cord from house) as a means to figure out if its the display or player , both can be bought new from gm but you'll need to figure out what one to buy 1st also in mobile players ,there is a feature that video is muted if car is in drive and not parked on some models b sure this is not yours

Your stereo has 2 blue or 1 will b blue with white. One will supply power to a power antenna which will only have power on radio mode not cd do check wires with test light coming out of your head unit for the remote turn on and not power antenna

This sounds like a laser problem. The laser is not recognizing that a disc is in the unit. The cleaner unfortunately is only for the lens

Do you have a microphone attached? If you do, it is not close enough to you. I have mine mounted in the dash. If you do not have a microphone, get one. If you have the microphone, attach it and make sure it is close to you while driving.

You need to ensure that your constant wire (yellow) is spliced into your battery (+) wire. It will supply a few volts to the head unit to maintain time, disc position things of that nature.

Follow the following steps to overcome this problem:
  1. Locate the "Brake" wire (usually the pink wire).
  2. Connect the "Brake" wire to a negative point, e.g. body of vehicle.
  3. Test by playing a DVD and your problems have been solved.
