its probably just a bad lamp, customer replaceable part. take a regular screwdriver and open up the little door in the back and see if the lamp is bad.

Sounds very much like a defective bulb. i would return it and get a new one, other then that it will be an expensive fix.

Sounds like your tact switches on the front of the TV are shorting out. Unplug the plug for the switches. if the problem goes away then try to clean the switches with rubbing alcohol, if still has problem replace switches.

If the sound is a "crackling" or "buzzing" sound then chances are you got a defective lamp. Pull out the new lamp and inspect it.

Original lamp comes in cartridge, longer lasting and easy to replace
Bulb that replaced in old lamp cartridge is low cast thing and does not work longer.
Choice is yours.

If it is not a Mitsubishi lamp it could be that. Aftermarket lamps do not make happy with these TVs. I purchased one and learned the hard way, so either replace with Mitsubishi parts or take your chances. No I do not work for Mitsubishi, I just own two of these TVs and have learned from experience.

Did you recently replace the lamp? If you did then it might be the new lamp. I mistakenly bought an aftermarket lamp to replace mine and it would not work consistently. Apparently if it is not an Mitsubishi original lamp it has issues, because after I replaced it with a Mitsubishi lamp it worked perfectly fine.

Mitsubishi parts department will sell them directly to the consumer since it is not usually covered by warranty. Goodluck.

Sounds like the small front mirror needs cleaning, as that will make the pic appear very dull looking and dim brightness.

try to plug it in another outlet, if it still wont power on, local technician can fix the problem , power supply or output is defective..

Make sure lamp cover is fixed properly and tight, it was first thing that was removed to replace lamp so recheck it should be in place securely as it engages a safety switch in side to turn On tv.

Ur tv have been on using like 4 or 5 hours a day?This tv have not been replaced it projection lamp?The lamp in the tv used like a 1 or 1 1/2 years?The projection lamp life is over,replace the lamp.

you have two choices. either the CC is coming from the set (ie closed caption) or if you are using a box of some kind (cable, sat etc) it can come from that also/

If from the set you need a working originial remote to remove it, same with the box if it is causing it.

CC can come from either the set or a box hooked up to the set.
