How do you change a lamp on a wd-60735

First order the correct lamp for your TV. Order from www.mitsuparts.com if the unit is out of warranty. The lamp part number is 915B403001. Next make sure the TV is off and has cooled for at least one hour. Use a Phillips #2 (large) screw driver to remove the cover from the back of the TV (on the lower right hand side). Next loosen the two screws (Phillips #2) that hold the lamp cartridge (they do not come completely out of the cartridge). Open the bag that comes with the new lamp and set it aside. Grasp the handle on the old cartridge and pull it straight out. Put this lamp into the bag. (Be careful to avoid tilting or rotating the lamp since that could cause glass to fall out of the unit.)

Carefully handle the new lamp (do not touch the glass - wear gloves if possible), Insert the lamp cartridge into the TV in the same orientation as the one you removed earlier. Push it into the TV until it is fully seated. Tighten the two screws with either your fingers or the screwdriver. Do not overtighten the screws. Replace the cover and tighten that screw.

You can get the manual from Mitsubishi support: http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/support.html . Click on Product Documents and search for the model number. The directions start on page 75 and includes pictures of the procedure.

I hope this helps.

I have a green screen

I take it your DVD is plugged into your Video in and your Cable is plugged into your RF connector or Antenna input. IF this is the case, you might have a bad RF cable. Can you run RCA cables from your Cable box to your TV? This should help with quality of picture as well as better sound. RF Connectors are old school. In todays market, they don't need to be used anymore. I don't use my RF connectors at all. I hope this helps you.

Mitsubishi WD-60735 has verticle bars with broken

This is your digital module going bad. The only way to repair this is to send your Light Engine Cube Assembly to Mitsubishi to be refurbished. I believe they charge the consumer 300.00 to rebuild. I have seen 3 just this past week. All DLP sets are failing at a high rate now.

What causes the lamp to blow out if the lamp has

Lamps do go bad much like head lights. Some last longer than others. Most have a life expectancy
of 3000 to 5000 hrs of use. I would make sure the unit has good ventilation and exhaust ports are open and not clogged with dust. These are the only precautions I can advise you on. I would also use only lamps that come complete with their cages from the manufacture or their part suppliers.
They may cost a little more but they are more reliable.
I hope this helps,

Replaced the lamp. still have

Red light idicates a bad lamp or lamp ballast. There are so many places selling cheap aftermarket and even rebuilt lamps that simply are junk and most wont work.. Especially on Mitsubishi's If you paid less than probably 130.00 id say you got a junky lamp and odds are thats your problem.. If you got a good quality lamp then i would suspect the ballast but on that model hasnt been a common problem..
