My tv mitsubishi wd-60735 turns

Don't know if this applys to you but if you have purchased anything but Osram or Philips replacement lamp for your DLP tv then this is probably your problem.. The generic is VERY tempting in this recession but in this case generic is poison to your dlp tv... i have a Mitsubishi 60735 and went thru 2 generic bulbs when my tv kept shutting down on it's own and the lights on front would flash, i could cut it back on for 10 minutes then flicker and shut down again ..well since the bulb was new i thought it may be defective so i got is exchanged for another one ... after all of the post i have seen how much repairs were going to cost on dlp sets no matter what the problem was ..i was ready to chunk the tv out the door when the second lamp was doing the same thing.....!! well a last ditch effort to save my tv before i trashed it or taking it apart to dissect it.. was to buy a brandname lamp ... in my case i purchased a Philips ..it cost twice as much =/ ..i could just return it if it didn't work.. well it was the generic lamps that was causing trouble.. the brandname worked perfectly .. i am just glad the generic lamp didn't do any damage to my TV!!! I have done further research on the generic lamps and realized that the damage it could have done was not worth the money i saved when i purchesed it... Generic is a great deal In some cases (household cleaners, etc..) but in this case GET THE NAME BRAND!!!! the only name brands i know of for these lamps are Philips or Osram/Sylvania.. hope this helps others from this headache. Do your research don't by generic lamp replacements, your DLP set cost to much to risk it.

Do I need to order the housing with the lamp after burn-out?

you can order just the bulb then install that in your housing. Being careful not to touch the new bulb with your bare hands as the oils from your finger tips will cause the lamp to fail prematurely.

How do i start my tv. up after replaceing the lamp?

Hi,When replacing the lamp, you must ensure:a) the lamp is securely "locked" into placeb) the lamp "cover" is secured properly with the screws These sets normally have a micro switch behind the lamp itself, as well as behind the cover).Providing the micro switches are engaged properly, the TV set should power up normally. If not, there must be another underlying issue causing this condition.

Warranty Management can be done with software, or on paper. You may even choose to toss all your Owner's Manuals into a box, with the receipts. In case anything malfunctions/needs to be reprogrammed/reset then the manual & spare parts/cables (in a large Zip-Loc(R) baggie or two) can be quickly located and consulted. If you television happens to be out of warranty, a nice (expensive) new lamp module can be ordered from Mitsubishi by calling 1-800-553-7278, or by ordering online at http://www.mitsuparts.com.Refer to pages 75-76 of your Owner's Guide for complete Lamp-Cartridge module replacement instructions (with nice illustrations).Your TV's Lamp-Cartridge part number is: Mitsubishi 915B403001Here's an online source for the Mitsubishi 915B403001 Lamp-Cartridge:http://www.dlplamps.com/products/mitsubishi-dlp-lamp/mitsubishi-915b403001.html?gclid=CLzb6ciaiq0CFQdN4AodZkMonANote that with the dlplamps.com offerings, you can purchase the lamp only for $109, or the entire lamp-cartridge module for $129. So you can save yourself $20 if you're handy. Remember to keep all fingerprints off the lamp glass element - this small amount of oil will weaken the glass, and cause premature failure of the lamp. In the event that you get a fingerprint on the lamp glass, erase it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. Alternatively, one may prevent fingerprints with latex gloves (make sure you haven't an allergy to latex, though). If the reason that the lamp blew turns out to have been a clogged Lamp-Cartridge Filter (once you have the Lamp-Cartridge out of the TV and in your hand, you'll be able to easily see the mesh filter), then place a regular PM (Preventative Maintenance) of this filter on your calendar.

Mitsubishi wd-60735 no picture and red lamp light

you have a digitdl light processing (dlp) television, which uses a high-pressure mercury-vapor lamp. depending on the hours of usage, the lamp will last about 1-2 years. the red lamp most likely indicates the end of lamp life. the lamp will need to be replaced. the owners manual will have instructions on how to replace the lamp. you can order a lamp on line. i perfer a brand name lamp. follow the instruction carefullt. i found that the television needs to be unpluged for an extended amuont of time to completely reset the timers, at least an hour. i have an older model wd62525.

How do i replace the lamp on the wd-60735

  • Sir try to follow this, turn off your Mitsubishi DLP television set. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet.Find the lamp compartment which is located on the back of the television in its lower right corner. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw located on the left side of the cover. Remove the cover and save it and the screw for replacement after you have changed the lamp assembly.Loosen the two metallic Phillips screws on the lamp cartridge. They will not pull all of the way out, but you can loosen them enough that they are simply hanging there. Good day and best regards hope this helps.

    My WD-60735 is 2 years

The bulb is probably getting tired. As a lot of bulbs get older, even though they may not burn out, the total light output (lumens) drops. Another bad part to this problem is that it may use the same amount of power, which means more heat generated. Good luck, the bulb costs around $100.

    I have a Mitsubishi Unisen

I'm sorry that the TV is not displaying any picture on the screen. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
    1. Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
    2. Try connecting a different video source like DVD player or VCR and check the operation. If it works with another device, the issue might be with the input device currently.
    3. Also try connecting the device to a different port in the Computer if no other devices are available.
    4. If the issue persists, try with a different cable.
    5. Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the TV from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.
    6. Please perform a system reset and check if that helps. Please follow the below steps to perform the system reset.
