try resetting the samsung home theatre system by switching it off, then holding the STOP button on the reciever for 5 secs

then you have probably connected all wires from game system to your TV. what you need is, as I did in my case with a PS3, a optical wire from your game system to your samsung home theatre system. and also remeber to configure your game system to direct sound through the proper channel.

It will if there is an optical out jack on your television.

From what i learnt you learnt to connect tv to system with hdmi and a  optical lead..

This is probably a setting problem on your remote-the unit will ony give full surround sound on Movies like dvd-on TV you may not get all speakers going as the cable does not provide signals to drive all speakers-check your manual and change to the appropriate setting-pro-logic is bad for this-will not give sound to all speakers unless the signal tells it to.

adding more speakers in parallel reduces the impedance, causing the amp to work harder. if you reduce the impedance to much and turn the volume up its a bit like making a short across the output, and has probably damaged the output stage. if you are really lucky it may be fused and simple replacement will fix the issue. if not it could be a costly repair. always observe the minimum impedance rating on your amp and match the speakers to it, never less than it

have you connected the optical cable. as the only way to get sound from the tv to the surround is via that link. the hdmi cable only send video and audio to the tv not both ways for some reason.

I was able to solve the wireless speaker problem through unplugging all of the units and starting over. I need to have the signal go from the satelite box to the recioever then the TV in order to get home theater to work.

If your TV is a Samzung, and has the Anynet+ function, you need to set the TV up with the Theater system. If there is an Anynet button on your TV remote, push that, and then select the function that sets up the sound system to the TV. If you don't see that button on your TV remote, then look for the option in the TV menu section. Once set up, you can use the menu under that Anynet button to turn off the sound system and return to normal TV audio... and while using the sound system audio, you can control the sound system volume, or mute it, with the TV remote.

There are a few settings that will just give you a stereo output. The first one is with the Pro Logic II. If you press the PLII Mode button on the remote it will go through a series of settings from MUSIC ➞ CINEMA ➞ PRO LOGIC ➞ MATRIX ➞STEREO ➞ MUSIC. Pro Logic setting will only produce sound from the front speakers and Stereo from the front speakers and the sub. Put it on Matrix for 5.1 surround sound.

Signal outputs and frequency responses from the speakers will automatically be adjusted according to your speaker configuration and whether certain speakers are used or not.
In Stop mode, press the MENU button.
Press the Cursor down button to move to Audio and then press the ENTER button.
In the SPEAKER SETUP, press the ENTER button again.
Press the Cursor button to move to the desired speaker and then press the ENTER button.
For C, SL, and SR, each time the button is pressed, the mode switches alternately as follows : SMALL ➞ NONE.
For L and R, the mode is set to SMALL.
SMALL : Select this when using the speakers.
NONE : Select this when no speaker is connected.
Press the RETURN button to return to the previous level.
Press the EXIT button to exit the setup screen.
It also seems that with this system, if you are on 5.1 surround but your music source is only in stereo, you will only hear stereo.

The P.BASS function is only available with 2 channel LPCM sources such as mp3,Divx,cd
and wma. Press P.BASS button and "POWER BASS ON" will be displayed on the screen.
The P.bass does not work with DSP/EQ or DOLBY PRO LOGIC ll modes.
If you press P.BASS in the DSP/EQ mode, the DSP/EQ mode is automatically shut off and the P. BASS function comes on.
The DSP/EQ function is only available in STEREO mode.

The Samsung HT-Z310T is a DVD player, not a recorder, that is why you are getting an error when inserting a blank disc

On the rear of your TV connect, with a phono/RCA cable to the Audio R + L sockets, connect the other ends to your Yamaha using the TV in sockets. See photos attached Hope that helps. HDMI is for video unless the extra pins are added for audio.
