Please also note: The drive led's in front must turn green before you can communicate with the device. The disk drives MUST be unallocated i.e. cleaned and MUST be partitioned MBR. I upgraded my HN1200 from 2 500GB drives to 2 1TB drives and the led's stayed amber because they were partitioned GBT. When I repartitioned them to MBR. Boom everything worked like a charm!

Hi dennisfwatso,
Please be informed that
Hammer myshare units are only compatible with
Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X, Linux and Unix. I recommend to contact
Hammer storage to check if they already have a latest
firmware that is compatible with
Windows 7.

Usb drive not working
Hmm, go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Disk Management. Then look or scroll down right hand panel to find your disk. If it is there you could RIGHT click on it and assign a new drive letter such as Q or R.
If it's not there your external disk could be faulty, the power supply transformer or power cable could be faulty or it could be the USB cable.
If all looks OK you probably need to contact a disk recovery specialist such as DATA365.

Have you actually purchased Visio, or are you just trying to get it for free?
As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
