Cnet CWR-905 Wireless-N Router - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
After factory reset, my computer dont recognise my router
Some later model wireless routers have the Password(ie.Encryption key) and the SSID already configured in the wireless router andthis information is printed on a label on the bottom of the router. These settings can be used to configure the wireless card and wireless adaptersin your computer/laptop. If these settings do not suit you, then it can be changed to suit yourrequirements. The encryption key secures your data and wireless connection from unauthorizedaccess. To configure the wireless settings in the router, connect a LAN cablefrom your computer to the wireless router, then open a Browser on your computerand enter the router's configuration IP address, then enter the admin login andpassword and then go to the wireless settings and configure the SSID andEncryption key.The router's encryption key can be a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA or WPA2key.If you use the Passphrase method select either WEP or WPA or WPA2 togenerate the encryption key. You can enter the WEP or WPA or WPA2 key with 8 to63 ASCII characters or 64 Hex digits. Most people use Passphrase which is easier to remember eg. I was born inJanuary 1988.The strongest and latest security is WPA2, the weakest and oldest is WEP. Toconnect to your wireless router from the computer/laptop, configure thewireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings ieSSID, plus the WPA or WPA2 encryption key. Then computer/laptops cancommunicate with your wireless router.

After changing the ESSID and wireless password of
Contact you provider to see if you can get the router configuration set to "Default so that you can gain connectivity again.
Changes in the router ESSId cause the router to change all parameters therefore locking the connection.
You can reinstall the router software and start from scratch to reset the router and enter a new ESSID password but I would get with the ISP and go through there setup procedure to ensure proper settings for their server. You probably missed something when replacing the password.

I have to power cycle modem as I keep loosing IP address
Depending on the internet provider, most IP addresses are set for a certain amount of time before the lease on them is up, in most cases the modem automatically renews the lease and the modem keeps the same IP address. In some cases, when the lease expires, the modem receives a new IP address from your ISP's dhcp server. In rare cases, the modem does not receive an IP address due to either a failure in the hardware (of the modem, hence faulty modem, time to replace) or the firmware on the modem needs to be upgraded. To upgrade the firm ware on the modem, a call to your ISP's tech support should solve that.

Cnet cgs-2400 fan replacement
it's really not worth the trouble of replacing the fan, but if you really want to fix it then you can just expose the motherboard and use a regular fan on it's highest settings (make sure nothing can mess with the router, little kids and pets might play with it).
Give password
The router password can be change if you try inputting 192.168.0.1 in the command line of the Internet Explorer.
You may need another set of numbers if the router is other than a Cisco product. It could be 192.186.1.1 or 192.168.1.0 also.
You did not specify what Router you were using?
Internet not Sharing
What type of cables are you using for the connections? are they straight or cross? It could stop working if you change a straight with a cross.
Also if it has an 'uplink' port check to ensure you connect the internet link there
