Fabric softener still in drawer at end of any
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Although you do not say which model it is, this is a common problem with many machines.
I suspect (first) that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in
BOLD ;-0)
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
- Top catch-
push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
- release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
- lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of those should enable you remove it

???
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
If this does not work, pull out the dispenser drawer far enough to be able to just see the softener tray, select the (final?) rinse and check that water is entering the tray. If it isn't there is a fault with the water distribution and an engineer call is required ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi I own a Defy
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It's very easy- you pour it into the conditioner tray before you start the washer- like the detergent/powder- and (normally) the washer directs water into the softener tray on the (final) rinse.
A quick and easy way to find out which tray is which is to pull the detergent drawer out just so that you can see into it. Start a pre-wash (pre-wash detergent) and see where the water runs in, then advance to the main wash (main wash detergent) and observe. Finally start a rinse cycle and where the water goes in is where the conditioner/softener goes.
In a few cases I have come across, the pre-wash tray shares with the conditioner/softener part but the pre-wash powder goes in the front and the softener in the back.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Machine is full of water, wont spin but door still
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
You do not say what the make and model of your particular machine is BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

The washing machine is not
Hi,
Problems with a washing machine not spinning or not draining are often inter related..
If you are having a problem with your top load washer then check out this tip...
Washing Machine does not Pump or Spin
If you are having problems with your front load washing machine then checkout this tip...
Front Load Washing machine not draining and or not spinning

Model sr2120j water lets out but doesnt spin
It sounds like a wire is loose inside the machine itself, and the seal is broken. I would reccomend seeking help for this one unless you know more than most about electrical power.
Hisense top loader WTCT802 8kg washing machine,
This could be down to a number of reasons. The most common of which is a displaced or faulty spin switch. This switch tell the machine that the lid is closed (or that the top is on a front loader). I know this may sound silly, but if you have a spin speed selector, double check to see that it's not been set to "0".
If neither of those work/fit the problem, and also if it is showing any error codes, eg. F01/F02/UNB, please let me know
My girbau washer flashing ALn error, how to fix it? thanks.
its should be that is the Inverter Drive error.
Check to see if the cooling fan is working on the inverter. If not, then when the drive gets hot, it will cut off in the high speed extract.
If the fan is working then it's probably an inverter.
