Why does myAmana 7300 front load washer door not open?

If the cycle is done, sounds like your door switch could be sticky,. If there is water in it, it will have to pump out the water to a certain level before the door will open, removal of the water would be your issue or the pressure level switch thinks is not drained out, in which would be a pressure switch.

Motor does not turn, but machine does all other functions

check the belt to see if it has snapped or come off, alternatively, if the appliance is between 3-5 years old it might be worth checking the brushes on the motor unfortunately in the UK we do not have this model

Haven't done this exact model but usually it means keypad locked (child lock) should be in the manual how to unlock. Usually hold down a couple of buttons for 5sec.( most of the time a faint lock symbol will be written between the buttons on the button panel.)

My GE washer model #WCVH6800J1MS occasionally leaks from the bottom. It sits on a pedestal so I can't see exactly where the water is coming from.

Remove the 3 screws from the lower kick-plate and run a load to see if you can find where the leak is coming from.

T02 error code 30

E30 means that the control isn't getting an electrical signal from the water pump. A clogged pump, bad pump, loose connection or a bad control board can cause this error code. The first thing you will want to do is check for a loose connection. Then make sure the pump isn't clogged. Check the pump motor with an ohmmeter and if it is open replace it. At this point the only way to tell if the control or the water pump is the problem is to run the water pump test on this page Test for voltage at the pump during the test. If the pump is getting power but will not run, replace the water pump and if the pump isn't getting power, replace the control.

Unlock

see this causes and fix it. God bless youFirst to unlock depending on model. There will be a pull tab either under the lower kick panel, behind the filter cover, or under the top panel. Pull this tab to unlock the door. Now you can remove the clothes and water. Refer to the owners manual for the location of your emergency door pull tab. Door Switch You will need to remove the door switch to check it. You will perform an ohm reading on the bottom terminals. The reading varies from manufacturers most Frigidaires is around 1500 ohms others like the whirlpool duet is checked at the main control board with the door closed should be around zero ohms. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading. Main Control Module / CCU The main control unit is the circuit board located behind the console. If the door switch tests good the main control is usually the problem. Check all connections for a goood tight fit. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual to check this further. The main control is easy to replace.

MY GE front load washer stops at 45 min 35 min

I had the same problem. Mine ended up being a cut in the pressure switch hose. Here's what I would do to troubleshoot:

1) Clean the filter down bottom one more time. Run a basket-clean cycle and make sure that the drain pump is working. If so, then move to step 2.

2) Do a diagnostic test. Here's some graphical instructions on how to do it:

Grab the codes off the t02 error codes test. There is a reference manual for the codes in a plastic envelope behind the bottom access panel on the front of the washer (panel below the door) -- remove the 3 screws then pull out from bottom. Lookup the codes and see what they mean.

Mine was E22 -- which indicates problem with pressure switch.

3) Do the t06 basket test. If it fails, then open up the top of the washer to check the pressure switch and hose:

chris_in_ma_3.jpg
Twist the pressure switch 90 degrees clockwise toward the spring to release it. Undo the hose clamps and blow down the hose. Blow into the pressure switch to make sure a contact isn't stuck. I took the bottom panel off the washer and disconnected the other end of the pressure tube from the bottom of the tub. Once disassembled, I blocked the end with my finger to see if the hose was punctured -- sure enough it was. I taped it and reassembled. If after repairing and blowing out, if you still have problems, replace the pressure switch ($60 on Amazon).

GE Washer model #wcvh6800j1ww stops in mid cycle

Try to clean the discharge pump filter first (Instructions on page 13 of the Use/Care manual). If the drain pump is working, it's most likely related to the pressure switch. Check out these postings: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9807344-ge_front_load_washer_stops_45_min_35_min http://www.fixya.com/support/t8933273-general_electirc_washer_model Do a diagnostic test -- Easy and free, and the machine will likely diagnose its own problem. Instructions in those postings. Post back any code you find and we'll go from there.
