Filter cleaning
The fact is that the "bagless bandwagon" is powered by some excellent marketing that conceals what is often poor technology. In your case, the filter blocks because it's doing the job that a bag would do in a bagged machine (catching the dust), and then the machine overheats because the flow of cooling air to the motor is restricted. The only solution (for this machine) is to keep buying new filters - the only permanent solution is to buy a different vacuum cleaner. And my advice is to buy one with a bag!

See picture for details. It is unnecessary to remove the roller brush to clean it. The picture will show you how to do but not all vacuum cleaners will have a line where to cut. In this case, you can still use a utility knife just be more cautious where your cutting and not too deep. Make your cuts on both sides of the roller.

If you still need to pullout the roller brush, don’t worry too much about pulling it out strait. Pull one end slightly, do the other end in the same way until it comes out.
