I'd be trying to sharpen the blades with a small sharpening stone.

It's supposed to reset when it cools down. Put it in the freezer for a few minutes.

You can return the item for a store credit but not cash. This I know for sure as I have done it myself.

The speed control board is gone. Parts may be next to impossible to find. If the blender is not very expensive or out of warranty, it may be cheaper to get a new one.

Most of the time a diode is to reduce the amount of electricity to something. For example. I had an electric train. The transformer made it go too fast, and it would jump off the tracks. I added a diode between the transformer and one of the wires to the track wire connector, and reduced the electricity to the engine, hence it slowed down to 1/2 speed. God bless your efforts.

Usually one of two reasons. The most common is a burning fan belt. This can burn if it is rubbing something it is not supposed it, or is loose. That would mean it is just about to break. Second, not so common reason, is that some wires are shorting out and it is close to catching fire. You may take it apart and see, however, I cannot guarantee you will 1) be able to put it back together again, or 2) be able to find replacement parts for it. God bless your efforts.

The fan is most likely staked to the shaft of the motor and it has come loose.

One of the safety switches isn't engaging. Make sure there isn't a piece of plastic chipped off the bowl and the top cover is fully engaged.

no you cannot order it from fixya site this is an answering site for technical problems and not a parts store call the manufacturer direct or a service agent by phone and order spare from them

They don't make them like they used to. The smell could be the windings on the motor or it could be the control board.
