Did a sales person at Bed, Bath and Beyond really tell you to contact
Fixya.com? Or, were you told to contact Hamilton Beach, the manufacturer of your coffee maker?

If you can, I suggest you make a telephone call to speak with a real person about your problem with the coffee maker.
I hope you still have the sales receipt for the coffee maker, to verify it is still covered by warranty.
