Won't brew...steams, sputters but no

You may have a mineral build up, (common in areas with hard water). Fill unit with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and distilled or bottled water. Let sit for an hour then start the brew cycle. If this fails to clear the blockage there are some coffee maker cleaners available at most supermarkets.

The water on our CBC-00

If you're talking about serious calcified water, that's most likely what's going on- and this unit is going to have to be seriously cleaned. I don't have one of these, but I read where it has a filter- have you found one, and did you change it?
Cuisinart states that it's okay to use a 1/3 vinegar 2/3 water mixture to clean your Brew Central, but you can also use a product like Urnex Cleancaf. Cleancaf is less abrasive than vinegar and is also odorless. To learn more about Urnex Cleancaf, follow the link below:

Here is a manual in case you need one:

Perhaps it's just a clogged filter, but if that doesn't work, give it a good cleaning in addition to it's automatic cleaning.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Hi,
mix half white vinegar and water together...then pour this solution in just as you would if you were making coffe....minus the coffe grounds of course... then run it through a cycle and then run clear water through again... and you will be good to go...do this once a month or so to keep it working great...

You have a short in unit. Probably the on off button. But without taking apart and troubleshooting, hard to tell you which one. These have a 3 year warranty. Call cuisinart to see if yours is under warranty. 1-800-729-0190.

How to clean

mcdevito75 here, Start with a new paper filter or claen the perminant one, you"ll need enough WHITE VINEGAT to fill the pot itself 3/4 full of this WHITE VINEGAR, NOW pour the pot of 3/4 full of WHITE VINEGAR into the resovoir, replace pot in the coffeee maker and cycle thru the vinegar 3 times, each time letting the mavhine cool a bit for easy handleing, on the 3 rd cycle stop 1/2 thru the brew cycle, let machine cool for 30 Minutes, then complete that cycle. Now repeat with fresh water to reove all the vinegar from the machine. Your coffee maker should now be good as new.

Quisinart DCC 1100 Series Coffeemaker

Hello sjones29,
This should be an easy fix. In one of the corners, under the top of the lid, you will find a water filter stick with a carbon filter that is likely clogged. Pull it out and remove the filter. Shine a light into the cavity of the unit and clean out the debris that may be in there. Replace the filter holder. (You can buy more filters on Amazon inexpensively). Filters are good for about 60 days. Then do a run through of water/vinegar solution. It should be 2 parts water and 1 part water. When done, run through a pot of fresh water to rinse. This should stop the light from blinking and make it so you can enjoy some great coffee.
Hope this helps and good luck! I appreciate positive feedback. :o) Thanks. NormanZ
