DU1055XTS wash cycle runs for 1hr 20 minutes then

I am not quite sure if I have understood the problem that you mention.

The dishwashers have several wash cycles and depending on what temperature applies to each cycle the wash cycle time will vary.

My suggestion would be to first try a short cycle like Rinse only and see if that completes. This should last about 10 minutes. Next try Normal (suggesed total time is minimum 71 mins.)

Apart from dishwasher taking longer wash time due to heating water, there is also possibility of some dirt in the wash pump. The dishwasher has got a dirt sensor which checks the amount of soil in the wash water. It periodically lets off some water into drain and takes fresh water. This could prolong the wash cycle. If possible check the chopper assembly (item 6 ) in this diagram. You can work this out if you notice inlet valve operating many times during the wash cycle.

The other thing that can prolong wash cycle is a faulty thermister (item 25). This means it is not giving correct water temperature and the heater could be heating longer. However, at some stage this should trip the high temp fuse. Doesn't seem that this is happening.

YOu have some options to look at. Please accept this solution if you found it helpful otherwise please post a comment.

The soil censor is the problem, basically the water in the machine is circulating around and the soil censor doesn't detect how dirty the water is so therefor wont empty out, change it out and you should be good to go.

The arms are not turning

If the arms have been cleaned and there is still a problem, then it could be the wash pump which is not operating provided there is water in the dishwasher.

The problem usually is with the chopper assembly (item 6) in this diagram. I am assuming the motor is ok if the dishwasher is draining ok.

It has to do with 1 of 2 things the 1st and most common is the door gasket is popped off down at the bottom, it may be a little hard to find where at first but dont give up. If this doesnt work them the spray arm has a crack and is spraying water down instead of up, causing a wave of water to splash out. Can you describe the problem any better?

check the kitchen drain is clear - looks like the drain cycle is not working efficiently.

Also make sure the filters at the base of dishwasher are clear.

Try a short cycle (like rinse only) and see if water drains at the end. If problem is occuring only during the normal wash cycle, then drying fan may be the problem.

My dishwasher is not washing.

Appliance repair parts stores carry service manuals for individual brands if you need step by step instructions. The basic procedure is to disassemble the lower spray arm assembly down to the deck. If you attempt this, keep track of the placement of all components as you work downward. The chopper is right at the bottom under all of this. The usual problem found is the large screen at the bottom that becomes plugged with hard water and food deposits. Clean the screen in hot water, white vinegar, and detergent. The vinegar will take about an hour to dissolve the hard water scale. Check the spray arms for plugged spray holes and possible split seams. Look for blockage of any holes in the deck itself. Re-assemble in reverse order. Hope this helps!

Does not clean well

First perform a vinegar cycle wash in the dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher. Keep the temperature at the highest setting possible and perform a wash cycle. Then start using a dishwasher most probably that would solve the problem. If this does not solve the problem then there must be some parts worn out or faulty creating the problem.

There are many probable causes of failure .

To clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water temperature.

Also check the filter in your dishwasher.Clean the filter if there is accumulation of debris in the filter

If you are in an hard water zone , then try reducing the amount of detergent used and then try cleaning the dishes.

Clean light blinks seven times and will not start

The problem you are having is that the dishwasher is sensing that the water is not getting hot enough to finsh out the cycle. The first thing you need to do is get the dishwasher into diagnostic test mode, you can do this by pressing: normal wash then heated dry, 4 times. After in diagnostic mode you can exit out by pressing cancel/drain. This will get rid of the blinking clean light and the washer can be operated in any cycle now. To prevent this light from coming back on, you can do one of two things. First you can just try running Hot water at the faucet before each time you use the dishwasher. Or, you can replace the thermistor/sensor that senses the water temperature. You can purchase this part at this link http://www.repairclinic.com/Sensor-Or-Thermistor-Parts?s=t-DU1055XTS-%3d%3dc61
