Whirlpool DU1055XTSQ Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Pots/pan light blinks alternately with the normal wash button.
There is a trouble shooting document behind the kick panel at the bottom of the machine. Follow the steps to determine which component is at fault. It could be corrosion at the P1 connector:
My whirlpool dishwasher gold GU2475XTVQ0 had rapid blinking lights that started with the "4 Hour Delay" LED and changed to others when other buttons were pressed. The machine would not run. I followed the instructions located behind the kick panel and verified the keypad was the issue and not the control circuit by elimination.
The big surprise for me was that when I used a straight pin to resistance check all of the buttons, they checked out OK. I reconnected the 14 pin connector (P1) to the control and found that the buttons/LEDs were behaving correctly! I believe that pushing the straight pin into the 14 pin connector removed any corrosion in the 10 year old device and permitted the keypad to communicate with the control again.
I reassembled the dishwasher door and it ran with no problems. I was ready to replace the keypad for $150, but didn't have to!

The pot and pan and
First thing to try is go to your electrical breaker panel and shut off the power going to the dishwasher for 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes try turning the power back on this sometimes causes the control to reset and elminates the error code. This does not always work but usually it one of the first things that you would try. Also sometimes on these models you can try pressing Hi temp/ sani rinse then Hi-temp/ sani rinse this also causes the unit to reset and then puts the unit into diagnostic mode in which it tests each area of the dishwasher. Another solution I have also used is to remove the inner door panel and the cover and unplug the ribbon and fromt he control board and clean it with an eraser. Plug it back in reassemble the door and see if it is working. Sometimes the issue is with the the touch buttons as well Im going to bring up your schematic located the push button switch for you I will message you back shortly with your schematic site is running a bit slow Thanks Rick

Open the door & remove the 8 or so allen screws. The board is simply plug and play.
Bad design - the vent is right by the board - so its subjected to moisture.
Thanks!

Dishwasher is not cleaning and soap is remaining
Hi,
This sounds like the dispenser is at fault. It could be siezed up, a fault in the unit or a broken cable to it.
Only way to check is to disconnect the unit and remove the door panel. Check with multimeter first, then see if operation is easy. Understand how a "wax motor" works if it uses one of these before replacing parts.

Water left in dishwasher
Make certain the drain hose under the sink etc. loops up higher then the bottom of the unit and there is like a "P" trap in the line by hanging down under sink area before going into the "Y" in the drain.
The other scenario is the float in the botom of the dishwasher may be cloggd up or has some debris under it. Causes the valve to stick up and water is trapped in bottom as it doesn't know when the washer is empty.

Ive got a flashing clean light and the dishwasher
Flashing clean light on a Whirlpool dishwasher is a heater
malfunction (sorta) this failure code is generated when the unit does
not sense a 5 degree rise in water temperature with in 15 seconds (give
or take depending on model) some of the earlier models could show code
under certain circumstances such as incoming water to cold.
With
control off alternately press high temp scrub and heated dry till all
the lights flash on and it will go into a diagnostic mode hit
cancel/drain button twice and retry using the dishwasher if the code
persists try running Your kitchen sink until water is hot then running
the dishwasher if the code comes up again begin inspecting the heater in
bottom of wash tub for damage or signs of shorting also pull out from
under the counter to inpect wiring to the heater, if these look good
test the safety cutoff towards the front bottom of the unit small black
and silver button sized componant with two wires to it for continuity.
Still
ok remove the thermistor from bottom of pump and clean it and test the
ohms according to the tech sheet on the back of the toe panel on front
of dishwasher, if this is ok test run the dishwasher with a high temp
scrub option selected and test voltage to the heater at the two
connectors directly at the heater if there is no voltage and You have
properly checked the previous items the control has a bad heater relay
and will require replacement.

Check that the door switch is operating properly, open and close the door a few times, push in on the door with a good amount of force while trying to start the machine, the door switch will not let control power to the panel if it is not getting triggered, to let the processor know that the door is closed and it can start the cycle.
Good Luck !
