I presume you have already tried to turn the mains power off and on again.'

When you say all buttons are dead does it also mean all the lights on the top of the panel are out?

Could be the controller has lost power.

Hello, Try to determine the area where the squeak is coming from. Does it happen as you are opening the door. On many models it is caused by the rollers, and/or the springs that counter-balance the door. WD-40 does a lot of things, but long lasting lubrication is not one of them. Try a silicone or teflon grease in the roller bearing axle. Also try to put some kind of plastic sleeve over the hook of the spring as it attaches to the frame of the dishwasher. If it still squeaks after you've tried these suggestions, you may need to replace the spring tension rollers, they're not too expensive. Hope this helps.

COULD BE THAT THE WATER INLET VALVE IS BAD ALLOWING WATER TO FLOW EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSE TO CUT OFF WHEN FLOAT REACHES THE TOP. MAKE SURE THAT THE FLOAT LOCATED IN FRONT OF DISHWASHER IT IS ROUND , MOVES UP AND DOWN FREELY

As you may or may not know, these Gaggenau are built by Bosch. I'd just like to clarify the issue you're experiencing before proceeding with possible redundant and unecessary post's.

On the display of your dishwasher, does it display "2H" and is this your concern ? If so, the reason these will display "2H" is indicating the previous cycle exceeded 2 hours to complete a cycle.

This can be not necessarily an error, but rather can be attributed with too cold water entering the dishwasher (below the recommended 120F), a longer than normal drain time (due to partial blockages, kink etc. hence longer time needed to complete the cycle) or inproper water circulation during the cycle.

Aside from these issues, it (2H) can also mean the unit has a heating error as you alluded to and if left long enough will show another error of "1" in the display, extremely long wash times, etc.

**The first thing I'd suggest before attempting any repair is running an additional cycle while making sure the water inlet is hot (120F optimum) and the unit does indeed drain fine.

**A fair indication of proper draining is to start a cycle and once washing begins (2-3 minutes) activate the "cancel" and the unit should adequately drain in the 2 minute time allowance.

**To identify proper water circulation, place an empty cup in the upright position in the top rack, start a cycle and inspect the cup after 2-3 minutes and it should be full of water.**

After trying and posting the results of these thing's we can move forward with potential heating errors, the cause, and how to remedy them. **I also have a B/S/H/ (Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau, Thermador, Neff, etc.) dishwasher service manual I can provide you if you'd like to post an email address for me to attach it to.
