Both light flickering probably indicates a problem with the plug or the cord. If it was just the inside light I would suspect the door switch, but both light would indicates an open short in the wires or plug. Check the plug connection at the wall and see if it is loose. While unplugged check the cord for any nicks or cuts. Plug something else into the same wall receptacle , like a light and see if the power to the receptacle is ok. If none of the above work then it is time for a qualified repair person. J

I would try replacing that overload and relay in the compressor. Your compressor may be shorted out. If it is, replacing relay and overload won't help.

The hole is for cleaning and draining. It has little effect on the temp.. Do you have to put bottles inside? To start with, liquids expand as they freeze and get hot. Anything below freezing is going to give you a problem. The colder, the sooner it will break the bottles.

Yes, the freezer temperature means the lid gets very cold. Every time you open it some moisture condenses in the lid and the outside ambient also affects it. The insulation may be beginning to break down and the ice is forming inside. It is not a major problem however and many freezers go on for years with freezing lids!

No it is not normal. But it is an easy fix! Clean the condenser grill and make sure that the compressor fan is working.

When the condenser grill is dirty it can't get rid of the heat from the compressor, so it transfers the heat to the cabinet. Also make sure that you have air space behind your unit and it is not crammed against the wall.

Note: If this is in your garage or in a closet, suggest you put it up on 4x4 blocks so that it can get plenty of air flow around it and you will even save some electricity since it won't have to work so hard.

The problem is with lamp holder. You should remove the covel and reach for the lamp and remove it. First remove the power cable of freezer. Now try to bend the center back contact of the lamp holder which is actualy not making good contact with the lamps back contact point. You can use also a wire brush, or a glass paer to clean the contacts of bothe the holder and lamp. Also it may be nessesary to use a new lamp since sometime their contacts are melt a litle bit and they loose contact. In the worst case you may need a new lamp holder.

Because it has heater to keep moisture out in the body metal of the freezer.
Those moisture if not heated to dry, can cause rust build up.

Make sure you coils are clean with, no dust. use a vacuum and blower to remove dust and dirt.
if all coils are clean and you still have a issue, you may be low on freon.

Wash it out with a mixture of 1 ounce ECO friendly bleach mixed in 1 quart of hot water.

It sounds like a compressor issue either the unit has lost pressure on the free on side, bad compressor, low free on or gases, or cooling fan for the compressor to keep it cool stoped working. thanks

This is what is called the syndrome of long time relaxing. If the freezer stayed for more than a month not used there is a very big chance the Freon stayed in with pressure and some humidity at some points so if at any point of the piping system there were a weak point then you probably had a Freon leak.

So you may have a freezer that looks like new but the cooling is in bad situation.

You can confirm this if you touch the condenser and after 1 hour you had switch it on, then the temperature of condenser should be about 110-120 F. If it is less than 100 F then you had a Freon leak.

In this case deal with Freon is not a DYI job since you need special tools and also you need to have a special licence for this.
