Regal Lager Phil & Teds Vibe Jogger Questions & Answers
Once I've folded my phil & ted vibe (in single
When folding the Vibe some important things to remember are that the handlebar must be in the most upright position (perpendicular to the ground), nothing can be below the rear axle level (ie. lift the basket up above this) and the front single wheel should have the side with the attachment bar on the outside.
The fold locks will not engage if everything is not in the correct position. If everything is in the correct position the fold locks will easily engage/disengage. If everything is NOT in the correct position the fold locks will not engage and should not be forced.
Folding:
- Put handle bar in upright position.
- Undo the side lock clips. Then you lift the red lever on the side to start the fold. Fold so that the pram front wheel and handle come together.
- As the pram folds ensure basket is above rear axle and the front wheel has the attachment bar on the outside.
- When the pram is fully folded you can fold the side lock clips back in place.
Cannot remove the rear wheels
Try spraying some "WD40" on the buttons and working it in by pressing the button. It may take a few tries but should clear any debris that may be hampering the button from operating correctly.
Remove Rear Wheel on Phil and Teds Stroller (Dash)
There is a little push button on the metal bar that runs the length of the stroller. good luck, my bearings have gone bad on my phil and teds and they told me that I had to replace the entire wheel at 40 dollars a pop.
Phil & Ted Sport V1 wobbles and pulls
Hi,
It sounds like that the tyre or innertube has perhaps become warped, this can happen when there has been over or under inflation.
I would suggest that you try first with a new innertube (get one from a local bicycle shop with a 'bent valve' as this makes inflation easier). If this doesn't help, then you can then try a new tyre and see if that helps.
I hope this helps.
Phil & Ted's Vibe very stiff front wheel
Hi
I am onto my third Phil and Teds Vibe due to issues with the front wheel. It never ever worked smoothly from the moment it was assembled. The first time the UK distributors Outnabout replaced the pin - no help. The next time they replaced the entire no buggy. The new buggy is exactly the same - stiff front wheel that is back breaking to turn and squeaks loudly. Interestingly, I am waiting for Outnabout to send some lubricant that Phil and Teds have recommended; despite being told by the retailer in no uncertain terms NOT to use lubricant. I plan to return the third and final buggy and ask for a full refund or partial refund and replacement with a Sports buggy model. The wheel mechanism is different on that one. Good luck. As you can see, I am all out of answers.
Removing rear whells from Phil andTeds Classic pram
Press the button and pull the axle out as far as it will go. At the button end is a metal collar - hold this firmly and push the button, without pushing the axle back in. This will loosen the 2 ball bearings at the other end of the axle and you can pull it out. It is a bit fiddly but i just managed it after the same problem.
I have recently a purchased a phil and ted vibe
I had this problem when the mudguards were incorrectly attached in the shop. Take off the wheels and mudguards. Reattach the mudguards by slotting them downwards into the guides on the post and then push the wheels on. Until the mudguard is correctly attached, the axle on the wheel is not long enough to reach the locked position.
Phil and ted vibe, wont lock and front wheel issues
The Vibe is very fussy to fold and has driven me up the wall on a few occaisions. To get it to lock when folded, the handlebar must be in the fully raised position - I think that is the secret. (The basket should also empty - we keep the raincover in there and it can obstruct when folding.) As for going round in circles, perhaps check that both rear wheels are inflated to the same pressure - but there's no doubt that the front wheel has a mind of its own, particularly at slow speeds or when starting off. Hope this is of some help.
Release mechanism on a new phil & ted's vibe stroller
The only solution I know is to return it if still under warranty. The same catch in the same position has just failed on our Vibe for the second time. Returned to Phil & Teds via the shop where we bought it. Have contacted Phil and Teds to guage the extent of the problem and have been told it does happen occaisionally and we are just unlucky to have it fail twice. We are now considering whether to have it fixed again or go for another type of buggy. Anyone else had this problem?
My front wheel of my pnt vibe is starting to sit at
Hi there,
I have just bought a second hand phil and teds vibe and have noticed the front wheel is on a slant too. Just wondering if you were able to fix this problem you or did you end up getting a replacement stroller.
Hope you can help!
Thanks
